no. Kingdom Hearts is funny BECAUSE it's like the one game where the story is taken seriously while also contained Mickey fucking Mouse. Mario is in a lot of shit that takes itself seriously already and would therefore be no where near as funny

If that was the case and we kept the idea of Sora being an alternate version of Mario instead of Mickey, how would he look like? I say he would have a mask with a moustache and a big noses that appears when he equips his red hat, has fingerless white gloves, and his pants instead of being blue overalls would be a mix between multiple power up items while the short stays red with draws of items and objects such as coins, ? Blocks, and golden pixels all over it.
Then we would have an eternal river that looks like an Atari rather than classic cartoons.

Because Mickey offers other things like the boots, and since most recognizable feature on Mario are on his face then why not using all of them into some cool edgy metallic mask for battle?
