Ogres are the best monsters.
- They're simple monsters
- They're no-nonsense bruisers
- They make satisfying noises when killed
- Humanoid enough to be relatable on an instinctual level
- Yet clearly too large and misshapen to be mistaken for human
- We feel a connection with them as if we were looking at humanity through a distorted mirror
- Ogres are us without all the things that make us feel human
