Yoshi Island definitely
Propeller mushroom is the best power-up.
One of the best looking bosses in Mario, felt somewhat out of place but also in place. Hard to describe.
the "realistic" elements in Odyssey aren't that realistic when you compare them to other games, for example the human models are pretty cartoony, it's only Mario(&co)'s presence that make them feel out of place.
If Culex can be a Mario boss, anything can.
Yeah, but Lord of Lightning is like some weird intermediary between a Dark Souls dragon liek Kalameet and a Mario dragon like Hooktail. Aesthetically speaking of course.
My headcanon for Culex is he was the Dark Knight that originally weilded the Deathbringer that Cecil gets in Fabul in FFIV.
Fun fact, the brochure in the Ruined Kingdom hints that the Dragon was responsible for destroying the kingdom in a war.
