that fov tho

I played this for 6 hours and enjoyed it, but the NPCs are so lifeless, they don't have any personality and all blend into one

Gothic 1 > Gothic 2 >>>>>>>> NotR

Cool, now post a competitor from this century

has there ever been a gothic post that wasn't trying to get attention by mentioning how its SO much better than some other game that's more popular?

Gothic 1 > Risen 1 > Gothic 2 > Elex >>>> shit > everything else

That draw distance is unironically superior to Elden Sneed

Nope, it’s their only cope. Other games live rent free in their heads, just like niohfags

This is the clunkiest shit I've ever seen

fromsoft npc consist of giving a atupid quest and having 2 lines
>filtered by NOTR
sad

As someone who grew up with Gothic it makes me cringe, they're much different games than DS/ER.
Gothic draw distance was its big thing back then, it mogged some other RPG's at the time like Morrowind, but these had other strengths.

Just like Souls NPCs then

worst control scheme in video game history

g1 yes
g2 no

Why are you so desperate to "own" fromsoft that you resort to lies?

Looks like Elex filtered the plebs hard.

almost based if risen was first

I'd probably like Gothic if it weren't for the horrible mouselook. If I'm playing a game on PC it can't feel like complete fucking shit to move my mouse around, sorry krauts.

I didn't understand how to play Risen 1 as a kid, but bandit camp felt great.

>npc's are lifeless
>diego
>milten
>lester
>gorn
Are you even trying?

>mouse
just play keyboard-only

boar clicker

Don't know what it is about European games but they always got this soulless as fuck vibe to them.

At least post a game that's relevant to From games like pic

I remember Diego, don't remember a single other guy and I only played it a month ago

What's with Lester, anyways? Didn't he wanna bring reinforcements?

Europe's remaining population is largely medieval peasantry placed in a modern urban setting. Over the last few centuries most of the good genes either crossed the Atlantic or died during the two world wars. The feel I get from a lot of European-made games and movies is always "this is what life is like for medieval peasants: slow, dank, and miserable."

it's literally not even an rpg

Neither are the Souls games, they're both action dungeon crawlers

(you)

The souls games are arpgs. It has more in common with diablo
Blades of Darkness plays nothing like the souls games and has no rpg elements at all. It's a pure action game. They're not the same genre just because they're dark fantasy and in 3rd person

Gothics got the better open world - one of the best - but the combat still isn't fun.

Shame it devolves into spamming special attacks for instant kills.
I guess that is pretty comparable to Elden Ring devolving into weapon art spam.

At least post the game that inspired that game

I think this would striker terror into anyone who likes good gameplay.

gothic with souls combat would be beyond kino
