Good start for Triangle Strategy. Can't wait for it to disappear from the charts next week because SE didn't ship any more units though!
John Hill
>Triangle Strategy Why does Japan like these ugly, poorly named, and outdated Squeenix RPGs so much
Joseph Mitchell
>[PS1] Gran Turismo 2 - 748.581 /NEW
>[PS5] Gran Turismo 7 – 73,399 / NEW >[PS4] Gran Turismo 7 – 64,565 / NEW lol
Camden Hill
It’s fun

>04./01. [PS4] Elden Ring (-71%) >06./02. [PS5] Elden Ring (-84%)
Say it with me now Snoy

The script is less tiresome and more entertaining in Japanese

Yeah I'm curious on the sell through on this one, it would very typical of SE to have undershipped it and for retailers to have blown through the first shipment already
Benjamin Jones
>1. [NSW] Triangle Strategy – 86,298 / NEW >2. [PS5] Gran Turismo 7 – 73,399 / NEW OH NO NO NO
Xavier Perry
>1. [NSW] Triangle Strategy – 86,298 / NEW Based, hope it sells quite well
Matthew Reed
>2. [PS5] Gran Turismo 7 – 73,399 / NEW Alright boys, cross it off
Leo Clark
The PS4 drop is pretty soft, the one on PS5 is rather steep.

Vroomvroombros...
Gavin Roberts
Why not just go play a SNES RPG then, they look better and play better than these slogs. These games flop in the West for a reason
Eli Torres
No! It's the Rising Sun flag!
Logan Lee
>poorly named Do you actually know if the names of Japanese games, those with names actually in Japanese, are grammatically correct or not? Do you care? Well, they don't.
Really?
Noah Gutierrez
>sold better on PS5 for once sonybros... were back!
Elijah Reed
You're right, why ever play new games?
Christian Barnes
>Gran Tourismo lost the #1 spot to Triangle Strategy >Elden Ring PLUMMETS a humiliating Eighty-Four Percent in a single week, about to crash and burn out of the top 10 >Switch hardware still dominating even into its sixth year How humiliating for Sony. This month is where all their remaining big hitters for the year are landing and they can't even make a dent in Nintendo. The rest of the year is going to be an utter bloodbath.
Matthew Moore
To be fair both were in the 80-100% range however I doubt there'll be a reprint until some special edition comes out.
Brandon Williams

Why didn't Sal put the triangle strategy image in the news? kek
Elden Ring is one of the best games released in a decade and it distracted the Japanese for a single week. Most of this list is children's games. Cope.
Anthony Gomez
>Weekly Tendie Cope Thread Oh wait... I guess they can't cope anymore since playstation games are now winning every week
Angel Sullivan
>XBS >+604% Holy fuck, it's over for snoy
Evan Jenkins
>1. [NSW] Triangle Strategy – 86,298 / NEW Now the question remains: will Square Enix actually keep good stock for a Team Asano game for once, or will they apologise on Twitter within days and simply wait for stronger profits via digital in a physical-based country? Still a good start for an SRPG anyhow. >2. [PS5] Gran Turismo 7 – 73,399 / NEW >3. [PS4] Gran Turismo 7 – 64,565 / NEW Really strong start combined for GT7, though slightly lacking for PS4 specifically. I feel as though this and Elden Ring have finally given us numbers for the PS5's current dedicated audience: approximately 220K of the sold physical units, which is at 1,216,651 units rn. This is also backed up by Elden Ring this week. PS4 is as expected, while PS5 is dropping down to what would match my prediction by a month post-release. From here I believe all we have next is C H A O S until around summer, unless I'm forgetting something important. And the former depends on whether or not Japan is even interested in that kind of thing.
Jose Roberts
Where do you think he is? Elden Ring has no legs and Horizon has already dropped off
>[NSW] Triangle Strategy – 86,298 / NEW >[PS5] Gran Turismo 7 – 73,399 / NEW >[PS4] Gran Turismo 7 – 64,565 / NEW You lost
Benjamin Nguyen
>Winning >Outsold by Triangle Strategy >Switch hardware dominates
David Davis
Already came out. Maybe it'll show up in the top 30.
Hudson Watson
Fair enough.
Ryder Torres
I can't wait for Nintendo to finally fall. Once they do then we would've finally gotten rid of the last standing Jap platform. I don't see what this shitty country has ever done to the industry but hold the rest of us back. There is a reason why Sega collapsed & Sony moved to LA, only a matter of time before Nintendo's decay next.
wait guys, wheres babylon's fall surely it could have been able to sell more than 9,474 copies
Joseph Bennett
If we go by the drop off rate of those games, ER will be off the top 10 next week, at least it grts the title of best selling PS5 game, though it is a low bar
Are digital sales this negligable for both Nintendo and Playstation in Japan ? In the UK physical charts the PS versions of Elden Ring was over 80% of the sales but when accounting digital it was actually 40% PS, 30% PC and 30% Xbox.
