Underrated games

ITT: Good games that nobody else has heard of.

I'll start with Hellpoint. Souls clone with a weird sci-fi cosmic horror aesthetic. A little bit Dead Space, a little bit Giger. It's got a ton of secrets and hidden content as well as a pretty nice combat system, and it has a great atmosphere. I don't know why it got mixed reviews, maybe it filtered a lot of players. Its obvious a lot of work and love has been put into it, and it's easily better than other souls clones like Lords of the Fallen.

Satellite Reign is basically just Syndicate 2, in my opinion the best real time tactical game on Steam

For me it’s Girl’s Lovecast, the best that only you can get! I wouldn’t be surprised if they made 20 more of those…

Thats the only Souls game I like

Desolate is Russian jank at its finest. It's like if you kidnapped the disabled child of STALKER and Fallout76 and forced it to live in a dark basement while reading it Lovecraft stories every night

Have you played The Surge, that's also a pretty great Souls game

I actually liked The Surge, but that save room music was ASS lmaoooo

I wanted to like this, but the encounter design is kind of shit and you burn through stamina really fucking quickly. It's a shame because the environments are incredible.

I don't know why Encased flew so far under everyone's radar, it's a very nice Fallout1-style CRPG with branching decisions, an intriguing story, and no woke shit

haha yeah apparently the devs know someone in the band, they released a patch that lets you turn it off, due to all the complaints. Why the fuck would they think forcing the player to listen to that shit was a good idea I'll never know

it's pretty funny and kind of charming, but yeah lol come on the SAME SONG? At least record different versions or something idk
I never played the second one but the 1st had pretty cool pacing.

Oh man
My pick is Silent Line and by extension the Armored Core series. Very popular if you're into mecha, but unheard of otherwise.
You're a mercenary who takes on jobs for corporations of dubious morality, it has intricate complex gameplay combined with an amazing customisation system.

I need to play more mecha games.
I only really played one, and it was Omega Boost haha

Narita boy

ECHO is an amazing game that i got from a GOG sale on a whim.

Great game TC, more people should play it, has more effort and soul than 90% of clones. Reviews were negative but it's not fair at all, it's far better than the Surge 1+2 IMO for the level design

>tc

Northern journey
Star explorers

Probably has mixed reviews because it's rough as fucking guts.
Fun game but it's not very polished.
Hell I feel like it's the opposite of Mortal shell, an unpolished but inherently fun game, as opposed to well polished but kinda shitty

Vagante, it’s a 2d roguelike that is hard as shit and fucking fun. It has a lot of elements to the game play and customization that makes it have significant replay value. I haven’t played a game with that much soul in a while

based Northern Journey chad.
