I'm pretty sure most of the problems with western games can be boiled down to god awful management where they put everyone on crunch time 24/7 and because they want to do yearly releases every goddamn game has to be rushed out the door and end up being a buggy mess because surprise surprise they just wanna maximize profits as much as possible even if it means burning out your entire workcrew.
