There is no definitive version (in English) decades of butchered translations and localizations hamper each versions in different ways. That said, this is an absolutely fine version with a lot of quality of life improvements for players, and the updated soundtrack and magic effects are nice.

This version is fine, albeit you should at the very least mod the font and if you don't want the game to look like pixel vomit you need to use reshade.
The "definitive" edition is probably the T-Edition hack.
