Just buy a gaming laptop bro

I bought a $2500 like a half year back or so. I use it at work, and also sort of live between 2 houses. No regrets. For someone in my situation, it works very well.
Has a 3070 and a 300hz screen. 17 inch. Pretty good though obviously you'd get much better value from a desktop.

Imagine not loading up Worms or a HoMM hotseat and passing the laptop around the room with your bros.
Not the best setup but god damn were those times good.

That is the situation that laptops were made for. Too many people see it as a desktop replacement and then leave it on a desk for its entire life though while they complain about how slow it is or how they cant upgrade it.

Aside from moving all of the internals into a new body generally no. It all depends on the make and model but most of the time the hinge fails in such a way that it destroys the entire assembly that holds it and the entire assembly is an integral part to the casing itself.

like 2/3rds of the economy the last 10 years has been based around tradesmen doing FIFO (fly-in fly-out) work in remote locations
when you have 2 weeks at work in some copy-paste little work accom and your good PC is 1000 miles away at home what the fuck are you supposed to do?
