NOW I FIGHT AS HOARAH LOUX!

NOW I FIGHT AS HOARAH LOUX!

WARRIOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

extremely cringe fight

How is he alive anyways, and who is hourah loux to begin with, his name after his exile or something?
This whole fight just felt out of nowhere, especially after fighting what must have been his ghost in the same area way earlier.

He was Horah Loux originally. He took the name Godfrey after being named Elden Lord to appear more regal

Oh.
Where was that ever stated? I must have missed it somewhere.

He is actually one of the least confusing rivals you fight, as his motivation is obvious (become Elden Lord again after being exiled)

Why did he kill Sorosh? I still don't see any reason why he's alive to begin with, he was fucking killed what brought him back?

>thought it was going to be a cool pronunciation like hoh-ah-rah
>mfw it's literally just whore-ah

grace was extended to various tarnished as shown in the intro movie
including sir gideon ofnir, fia, dung eater, goldmask, and hoarah loux

So, obviously Nepheli Loux is his daughter, right?

He was exiled after killing all The Giants in the wa0r and he came back to reclaim the title of Elden Lord. Halfway through the fight he realizes that his regal persona isn't going to beat you so he severs the power that persona had and fights you as a badass chieftain warrior with all his own might

I thought this was a Asuras wrath thread. Holy fuck.

Either his daughter or like part of his tribe, like all the followers took his name following him

what's with the the lion stand anyway? thought it was just an artistic depiction of his "lion-like" bravery or some bullshit. turns out he has an actual lion coming out of his back.

>goes into inventory and unequips weapons
well if your gonna do it...

the description says it's his "beast-regent"

perhaps a part of his power split from him, as killing the lion makes him stronger

Your comment summarizes every soulslike.

I genuinely don't understand or care about the lore in souls games at all. And I don't think the devs do either, they just do random stuff that sounds cool to them.

No one fully dies in the Lands Between except under very special circumstances, they can be resurrected, like with Fia, who collects life energy to bring back the dead. The Tarnished, when they were exiled and all eventually killed (you can see their deaths in the opening scene), still followed those rules, so when the Greater Will called on them, he, along with the PC and the other Tarnished, were all brought back to life.

>they just do random stuff that sounds cool to them.
that's what makes it kino

>this is the gatekeep final boss
this game is so shit, falls off a cliff after academy

Not as bad as Malekith and Malenia. Both of those bosses are just terribly designed and artificial difficulty.

in the opening he's listed among the tarnished as Hoarah loux, chieftain of the badlands. As first Elden Lord he most likely changed his name after marrying marika and kickstarting a proper society, ala Romulus.

When he became the Elden Lord, he was too much a violent savage for the role, so he put his bloodlust into his Lion, so that he could become Godfrey.

Yeah japs do that all the time, that's why they often use English lyrics in their songs as well.

>after academy
Academy was visually cool as fuck but it was also even weaker than most places that come after it
Filled with nothingburger enemies that do nothing in a catacomb tier small dungeon that only have rewards for INTfags
