I really should stop using Opera. Is Brave still the best browser out there?
huh?
No idea.
never knew opera owned gamemaker nor have i known anyone that used opera
Brave's business model is extorting ad companies, then showing the extorted ads instead of the native ones.
The only real choice is firefox+ublock origin.
you mean waterfox
you mean librewolf?
Brave is actually fucking great. I went from Opera to Brave and haven't looked back.
>chink enterprise using shady tactics
Color me surprised
Vivaldi
you mean icecat?

I'm looking for a chromium based browser though.
Tough luck. Google have gutted the blocking APIs from chrome, and the web moves too fast for volunteers to keep a browser up-to-date and secure these days.
The closest you'll get is Safari, but Apple are allergic to giving users options.
>never knew opera owned gamemaker
it was a recent acquisition (january of last year)
you mean ungoogled-chromium?
Brave is middling.
It still has enough tracking intact to be something that can be tracked, as far as I know - enough things around to not be a proper private browser.
However, its features for the average user are enticing. Native adblocking, native javascript-blocking (works wonders when you deal with retards clicking on sus links) native fuck-offing of shit you don't need.
It works fine. Just don't rely on it for privacy.
I use vivaldi personally. Being able to tile tabs is fucking great. Not sure if it's the kind of browser others would throw a shitfit over though. But it runs the addons I want and works fine.
is that a bad thing?
i love Opera, but there's tons of different browsers to use anyway
you cannot go wrong with basically any of them, even Microsoft Edge
vivaldifags how the fuck do i get video playback/streaming to not chunk and stutter on my toaster
i want to fully switch over but it wont properly play media so i cant
Opera used to be so good.
Yea, before it was sold out to chinks
I go into settings and disable hardware acceleration personally, that shit's always been buggy in web browsers in general anyway.
Man, I'm getting flashbacks to Frames on web pages
