Dragons Dogma

Dragon's Dogma walked so that Elden Ring could run

nah DD was trash no cap

There is nothing from dd in elden ring, maybe summons were inspired by pawns but i doubt it

Really? Because it feels like I’m crippled in Elden Ring. The game is fun but Jesus Christ the movement feels like dogshit.

>inb4 ‘’timing’’
Monster Hunter does weighted combat well.

I seriously can't get into this fucking game. I play the first 2 hours just fine and then I start being given quests that are so far above what I can do. I get fuckin bodied by bandits way above my level or get decimated by a chimera just chilling in the fucking road. Idk what to do bros.... I want to like this but I just don't get it

Buy better armor, weapons and a bunch of healing items, you are welcome.

How do I get the money to do that if I can't do quests without getting rawdogged

It's a quest board with shit that needs doing.
It's not made for you specifically, take the ones you can do.
I can't believe people are filtered by DD, it's quite a comfy game.
If you're so desperately underequipped that you deal no damage even when knocking down an enemy, then run away.

First off, did you already go to the encampment?
Second off, did you already go to the capital?

I'm at the capital. I went to the bottom of tentacle tower and came back up as per the story and I've kinda been cut loose

>niggas buying open world games while having all the adventuring spirit of a sloth
damn, and then they complain when Ubishit simplifies the entire genre for normans

Elden Ring is the DD2 I wanted, but better than the DD2 we could have ever gotten.

Are you playing on "hard"? Because that shit is poorly balanced.

There's a good chance that you'll eat your words when DD2 actually comes out.
AI enhanced programming for companions could revolutionize the way singleplayer bots are made forever.

Elden Ring has nothing to do with Dragon's Dogma
Even the world design is completely different

Git gud

I got filtered by the amount of running back and forth while fighting endless wolves and goblins with bloated HP in the first few hours of the game.

Elden Ring runs so DD2 can fly

don't compare your flavor of the month trash to the masterpiece that is Dragon's Dogma, you absolute pleb

They share little similarity other than being open world fantasy ARPGs. DD is still unmatched in a lot of areas.

Dragon's Dogma is such a boring game. I don't understand why Any Forums dickrides it so hard.

The combat in dogma is better honestly. I played dogma for the first time while waiting for elden ring. The sense of weight, both you and monsters, plus climbing and a bunch of skills and ability interactions, I dunno elden ring feels floaty and weightless in comparison

Having a 3 hour long intro and a non standard fast travel system that rewards careful exploration is a great normie filter.
Probably the only AAA game that saves all the best for last.

There's a mine outside the city that leads to a clear, you can go there and find a bunch of low level enemies, the shadow fort is also there, just explore and find your way.

How is it possible that I played DD 2 times and I still don't remember jackshit about its story and characters

DD was made by the same devs of Devil May Cry, it’s a action-RPG where the “action” wasn’t half assed

Yea, like other user said, gear is pretty important in DD.

Which class did you choose anyway? You really should consider hiring pawn around your playstyle or pawn to help cover your weakness

>Fighter is tanky so armor and shield should be you priority

>Strider is a versatile dmg dealer

>Mage(early) is all about heal and buff, but can also deal elemental dmg

Healing in early game is very important so you should always have a pawn can heal, this will save you a lots of money and healing item

kind of dropped the ball on the RPG part though, stat growth is all sorts of fucked

Fucking garbage combat system, boring bosses, shitty environments and forgettable story.

>There's a good chance that you'll eat your words when DD2 actually comes out
God I hope so.

if Elden Ring had DD's magic i would agree

as soon as you kill the hydra go to gran soren. then upgrade your gear. do not head towards witchwood and bloodbeach. do not take an escort quest. once you are level 20 chimeras are a cakewalk. 30 for griffins. I'm almost level 40 and still can't kill a drake.

Is that motherfucking sonic the hedgehog?

They are quite different games, I would compare DD more to a monster hunter with an actual story than any souls games.

>The ogres that prioritize female Arisens and/or pawns
>Shooting/hitting a cyclops in the eye stuns it for more hits and damage
>The female bandit camp that hates men
>Setting a Griffon's wings on fire ruins its flight potential
>Unmatched dragon fight
>Cutting off Saurian tails
>Bigger characters have more carry weight
>Smaller characters can crawl into goblin caves
>The ferry stone system
>Pawn system in general
>Night time is actually night time and changes AI and enemies
>Kino final act with big twists

The game has a lot of issues but the amount of soul and unique and charming ideas is still yet to be topped. Only Demon's Souls had that much passion and creativity.

Cause the story and characters are garbage and it's only saving grace is grigori.

Yea, i kinda wish they gone with a tradional stats point that you manually pick to upgrade

The bandits on top of the hill are overlevelled as fuck for no reason, the sword and shield ones can easily one shot you. The rest of the game falls into place once you get over those fuckers.
