Nothing but better specs, the design was already perfect.
maybe more tactile shoulder buttons

If Sony really wanted to re enter the handheld space, they'd have more luck leveraging their smartphone business and making a phone that was also specially designed for a snap on controller and robust Remote Play / PS Now functionality.
Cloud gaming isn't ideal but expecting them to make lower fidelity games while they can barely churn out enough to keep their home console ecosystem afloat is just unrealistic.

>no cameras
>no back touchpad
>2 additional bumpers
>oled screen
>micro sd card slot

It already had an oled screen

>Vita 2
it already exists and its called Switch
and guess what? it can also run Vita games too its not an emulation

They should just make Odin clone ps now machine, something that just runs the app, has physical buttons and has a large battery life.

>doesn't fit in pocket
I hate the switch so god damn much its the worst "portable handheld" in existence people laugh at the virtual boy but it had the same problem unless you wear a school girl back pack everywhere its not portable.

Anything with thumbsticks is gonna break in your pocket.

Okay how about a device that has the thumb sticks lower down into the device when pushed down and stay there until you need them?
Bam solved.

>he lacks storage
>thinks his pants pockets are enough
NGMI

the vita slim has lcd is probably what he means

absolute nonissue with PSP sticks

-faster
-better buttons
-actually the Xperia Play 2
you're wecome.

>j-just bring extra baggage!
At that point I may as well not bring it or bring something else altogether.

bringing a backpack with you isn't all that crazy. I know no one on this board goes to the gym, but you can easily take it to work with your gym clothes and slip it in there. my bag is full of quality of life improving EDC, including a vita and I quite literally never go anywhere without it

I always carry a backpack everywhere too full of gear. Hell I wouldnt even carry a DS in my pocket, I'd be paranoid of it falling out

All the hardware features of the VITA + having the sticks poke in for L3 and R3 would have been welcome
It was pretty much perfect it just no-gaem'd worse than PS3

This lacks the soul of the Vita.

Sony could buy Odin and upgrade tgeir tablets into steam deck/switch competitor.

The Shitch and Steamed Dick aren't real handhelds.

>Compact enough to be used or operated while being held in the hand or hands.
>small and light enough to be operated while you hold it in your hands
sounds like theyre handheld to me

They should make it but not be sony it should be Xbox and play regular Xbox games.

meant for

>I hate the switch so god damn much its the worst "portable handheld" in existence
Because it's not.
It's a home console you can play portably if you want.

Semantics I guess. You're not wrong at all. They are handheld, but they sure don't feel portable.

This guy gets it. I love handhelds but the current generation just seems like a compromise for people who actually like the thing they're meant to do.

You're missing the point completely about what made the Vita so great.

"The Shitch" isn't a handheld and never was positioned as such, correct. It's primary function is playing on the TV.
"Steamed Dick" is a handheld, however. It's primary function is playing portably. You have to buy the docking station separately and it only works as a TV out, no diffrent from PSP Go.

It's so immensely large and clunky that no one in their right mind would carry it out of their homes.
If a portable console is too large to only be portable in your apartment it's failing its mission from the start.

wow what a handheld 600 pounds of ugliness i hope your cock falls off from carrying it
