I actually liked gt sport’s career mode when it was added because of it’s simplicity. Just needed a lot more races honestly.

GT2. This isn’t even a contest user. 4 is the best game but only because it essentially copied a lot of what 2 got right

For me it's 4, but I didn't play the PS2 games.

GT2 is so kino. No other game comes anywhere close. Maybe Forza 2 is the next best thing. I like all entries in the franchise. But nothing really compares

GT2 felt more like a campaign than any other, but I prefer the "stfu and race" approach of GT4 better.

3 was just 2 in higher res and 60 fps. but a lot of cars were cut

3 was cool as a PS2 launch title but it felt like a step down from 2 when I first played it. 4 had the graphics and content.

gt6 sucked compared to gt5 because of how gutted the campaign felt and endurance events being limited to 24 minutes at most

It's a bit of a drag. The freedom to buy and upgrade cars is there but the event categories (FF, FR, brand, country) that would normally be pick and choose between unlocking championships are handed to you to complete one at a time through the cafe menu.
