Rejoice toaster fags.
No online play though.
Elden Ring now runs on GTX600/700 series and HD7000/R9 200/R9 300 GPUs

Oh no no online... anyways
My laptop lives another day 950m basically 750ti with a bad bin
According to techpowerup it's even a little better than the desktop 750ti, especially if it's got 4GB RAM. Enjoy.
Thanks I will
Does this make cards that do have DX12 work better?
In other words, does forcing DX11 using this make stuff run better in general?
Lol try it it probably does
How does performance get in later levels btw toasterfags?
I have toaster but definitely not on the level of OPs (980+4690k+16GB) and right now I get pretty much 45fps everywhere but in that 2nd region (the lake area), some of the enemies projectiles (like the flowers) cause huge stutters/dips.
Does the game get worse or is it just a few enemies here and there?
How does the patch work?
I'll try it out later on my 1070 when I get home, but I don't think it'll do much. According to the dude on github, all it does it take the DX12 call, disabling one feature and then rendering it in feature level 11_0. It's still running in DX12, just a lower feature level. It also might be the case that at some later point in the game, that specific feature that gets disabled might cause a crash, graphics error or other issues but nobody's discovered that so far. Seems like they only made it DX12 12_0 to make it RTX ready and the 12_0 feature set would only actually get used once they implement RTX.

Why?
The game won't let you go online if it detects frame issues, I'm guessing that's why
Pretty straight forward
>copy your d3d12.dll and d3d12core.dll from your system32 folder into your game folder (copy not cut, otherwise you might break shit)
>rename the d3d12.dll in your game folder to d3d12_original.dll (not the one in the system32 folder, don't fuck up shit)
>donwload the github release
>unzip
>copy the d3d12.dll into your game folder
>if pirated copy, you can launch now cause anticheat is disabled anyways
>if legit copy, rename start_protected_game.exe to start_protected_game_original.exe
>rename eldenring.exe to start_protected_game.exe and launch the game
easy peasy
No, it's because you need to disable anticheat. The anticheat would detect you're trying to alter something, and would give you an error message or if it let you launch, you'd probably get banned shortly.
So
>mod game
>game thinks it's hacking
>anticheat detects and bans your account
something like that?
> 23 fps
Yes, if it let's you start the game at all. Normally the anticheat should detect this before you startup the game and give you an error message and not start the game.
ok thanks for the headsup, i've got a friend who will be happy to hear this.
That just comes with the territory. This also enables the use of a 780ti, which would give you similar performance to a 970, which can pretty reliably do 1080p60 low.
>oh sweet, now I can play dork souls 6 on my 15 year old hardware
People get excited over this?
I'm confused and dumb, which d3d12.dll I'm supposed to use?
I for one am. I've been playing it on my main PC, but I'd like to play it on my HTPC in the living room too occasionally. That one's only got a GTX660 though, so I couldn't play it until now.
Wrong place, you need to download the release here: github.com
A few enemy/boss attacks but the performance definitely is more stable than Limgrave/Sentinel boss
Leyndell is apparently very demanding on lower end CPUs. I haven't encountered issues or more stutters on my 10400f though, so I can't really say.
