you think fallout 1 and 2 are bad?

i played it and got filtered by not wanting to look up a build

probably because 99% of Any Forums is comprised of zoomie zoom zooms who get nostalgic over CoD MW2

I played it and liked it but eventually got filtered by the high difficulty

Underrail looks cool but it filtered me, I don't play crpgs for the combat I just want interesting quests / scenarios and choices.

Underrail is one of the best RPGs ever made

I was having a lot of fun until I started the DLC, then I lost all interest and haven't touched it since.

sounds too much like Undertale. Same reason nobody played Firewatch

I played it way before some streamer shilled it to you and it's nothing like Fallout, a game that you obviously never played.

Maybe, at least i don't get filtered by it like in Fallout 1: It's just so fucking boring, never got to finish it. I've beaten Daggerfall like four times and that was less boring.

300 hours beating dominating on full psi, every minute was worth it.

Why?Because it sounds too much like crotch-rot?

For their time? No.
Right now? Yeah, the combat has aged like dogshit.

ATOM RPG is more like Fallout, too bad it's world is boring as fuck.

its shit and has absolutely nothing in common with good fallout games (fallout 1 and 2)

play ATOM RPG/ATOM RPG Trudograd, for actual good fallout

im lazy to check if I claimed it free on EGS.

just play on easy then, retard. you can just pick random stats and feats without a care then.
on normal and hard you just need to pick one or two attack skills and then get whatever random shit you want.
you can win the game with a fucking crowbar even on DOMINATING.

Fallout is trash so why would I play a clone of it

>enter DLC or deep caverns
>lose all interest in game
>start a new game with a new build
>happy fun times
>enter DLC or deep caverns

Underrail is one of my favourite games but I can't get into Fallout after playing it, it makes it feel so primitive

Expedition isn't that bad unless you play melee. Deep caverns are too poorly designed to be good, only worth it once for the lore.

Literally me
I have done this at least 6 times now.

i played it for 10 minutes then some mutant rats or something gangbanged me and i died

filtered hard

poor kid needs real time with pause, sad

>Fallout
Cringe. Underrail is more closer to isometric deus ex/system shock

>no party members, except you always fight hordes of enemies
>not even custom mercs
>combat is so stacked that almost everything is decided solely based on you vs the enemy going first
I don't know how people can sincerely find this ultra meta alpha strike tier combat fun.

Is this game good outside of the combat/build variety? How good is stuff like writing, worldbuilding, quest design, choices & consequences, exploration, etc.? Also can I respec my character during my playthrough if I want to another build or do I have to restart? This game seems pretty long and I don't have a lot of time these days to keep restarting and I want to explore all the build mechanics

Real time with pause is boomer shit of them jerking about baldurs gates shitty combat that plays itself.

>How good is stuff like writing, worldbuilding, quest design, choices & consequences, exploration, etc
Good but nothing spectacular
>Also can I respec my character during my playthrough if I want to another build or do I have to restart?
You can't respec. Unless you use cheat engine

>Right now? Yeah, the combat has aged like dogshit.
19 year old zoomer here, get filtered

atom RPG has fallout 2 atmosphere, underrail is fallout 1

I like the setting and atmosphere. Writting is serviceable and the story from "meh" to bad.

>Also can I respec my character during my playthrough if I want to another build or do I have to restart?
Only using Cheat Engine. Probably the only sane way to play this.

Is it ok to just go in without any knowledge of the game and be ok or do I need to look up some builds or other stuff beforehand so I don't softlock myself hours into the game if I find I out my build isn't viable?

I liked it, but it's way too combat-centric to be like Fallout.

A reminder that the lead dev Styg is a racist and will ban you for any nigger talk.

>atom RPG has fallout 2 atmosphere
More like Stalker atmosphere because that's all russian devs can do.
Apocalypse world? Take russia, make it gray and more empty.

You can't explore all the build mechanics on one playthrough, but just sticking to one character and doing a full playthrough is satisfying enough.
I love the story and some of the characters, I think there's extraordinary stuff in this game writing-wise but not everyone can appreciate it

Difficulty selection doesn't lie to you. Easy is easy, Normal is for people with experience in RPGs, Hard is for people who understand the system and builds (so you'll probably fail or have a bad time playing blind), Dominating is for people who knows how to cheese the game.

Just play normal and don't spread too thin, this game is about weapon specialization. You don't need to max crafting nor utility (lockpicking, hacking, etc).

You don't need a guide, you just need to think about your character and pick what you level wisely. There's a ton of room for error though, unless you're on the highest difficulty which does require prior knowledge
