I don't understand why people like this game so much, I feel like I'm being gaslit.
The world feels generic, the art feels generic, the combat feels clunky. I feel so bored every time I try to play it and then I see a bunch of reviews talking about how it's 10/10 best game ever and then I try it again, thinking that I somehow am just not seeing how great this is, and then I get bored and quit.

It's not the difficulty that was the problem, I just hate the art, setting, lore. I just hate when Japs make western styled settings, it always looks so generic and soulless. Sekiro is the only souls-esque game that ever looked appealing to me because at least it looks soulful, it doesn't just look like an extremely soulless, generic Asian take on western fantasy.

There are obviously diehard fans it being a fromsoft games who would like it no matter what, but there is also a bit of genuine shilling always for major releases like this, so it's probably that too.
I more or less agree. It's basically a worse Dark Souls 3 with some open world elements that actively make the game worse. That's still a pretty ok game but nowhere near best ever territory or even best in franchise.
I'm not a weeb, I don't usually like asian things. I want my western settings to be made by white people with a white soul, not some slant eye that thinks generic knights are the coolest thing ever because it's alien to him.
