I havent played elden ring, but ive been watching streams and it seems like the world is really empty and unimportant, also the combat seems pretty repetitive. is this game really a 10/10?

Just two more weeks, Elden Ring will surely flop, trust the plan sis

>the combat seems pretty repetitive
Yes, it's a souls game, that's a series staple.

The open world is pretty hit or miss, though. I don't really enjoy exploring it as much as I enjoy entering the plot dungeons/castles that exist on it

>i havent played-
opinion discarded every time

As opposed to fucking what? What is this collection of elusive open world action RPGs with better combat and level design that I have supposedly missed all this time?

link to the past had a pretty good overworld. just cause had some fantastic combat with a variety of weapons and vehicles as well as mission objectives that shape the way you approach the combat. it was pretty stupid to ask for better examples.

To your average consumer? Yes.

lmao why do zoomers watch streamers play games instead of actually playing the damn game themselves.

>just cause
>action RPG
??????????

because i dont want to spend 60 dollars on bad games?

Link to the Past and Just Cause aren't RPGs

because they have to ask mommy for money
and mommy bought them vbucks last week so itll be tough to ask for more in such a short time

why does it matter what the genre is? if a game has a shit overworld it has a shit overworld regardless of if link to the past is an rpg.

literally this. talk to any mother with a son. she WILL have a vbucks story

>just cause
god dammit now i have to boot up the game and do a map wide road trip again

>Uhm Elden ring combat??? Looks pretty samey :/
>HOKY SHIT LINK? TO THE PAST?? 30 YEARS LATER AND IT STILL HOLDS UP, BASED NINTENDO

My opinion playing Elden Ring was constantly thinking back on AlttP and comparing the two. They feel really similar, with their obvious differences due to size and scale.
Taking a peek at the dungeons you cannot enter, to them later go there yourself is a good parallel to something like looking at Nokron from afar and then finally finding your way into it's premises, or finding the way to the lone crucible knight over the destroyed Siofra River bridge.

>open world feels empty
If Elden Ring's open world feels empty, then what game's open world doesn't feel empty?

every open world feels empty because they want to be visually/spatially massive. you literally cant fill the space with enough content to have good pacing or content density. even if you did, it would be too overstimulating or repetitive.

Not Elden ring, it's fucking dense and I'm always missing something. But what do you know. You get your opinion from streams.

it's about how full I'd expect an open world souls game to be. it's kind of like dark souls 1 how everything is connected, but by open space instead of tunnels and shortcuts.
