Ignore it.
That's just another variation of your impulse to take everything to the extreme.
Take control of your mind from your mind. Improve yourself without destroying everything.
You have the willpower to just not play the games until the proper time.

i'm not sure. i broke off contact with my family when i moved out and that was probably the best decision in my life so maybe i just need to take everything to the extreme to get shit done

Video games are not an abusive family. Equating them is another aspect of this personality trait.

Do it. Your future self will thank you

That cat has to be dead by now.

they weren't abusive except for my bully brother who moved out long ago. i cut them off because i think like a man needs to be independent and i can't do things unless i am forced to do them so i moved out

>bank account down to $400
>still not going to sell my series x

It doesn’t work. You’ll just end up regretting it and doubling down. You’ll literally just be throwing away money rebuying shit you already had. Trust me, I know from experience

Same. I have a channel where I buy a game on all platforms it's released on and I have so many games (so I have twice/three times the amount of useless games) I have no way I'll get to cover them all and feel like I should sell them

if games bother you so much maybe find another hobby

Video games aren't in the way of me self-improving and living a happy life. My depression is.

>dont sell your stuff, you'll just end up rebuying it like i did
you're dumb and shouldn't be giving advice

This is why moderation is the key. There's no reason you can't enjoy vidya and be productive and healthy all at the same time. You just can't play video games around the clock every day and care about nothing else.

Here is a little advice from my own experience with this sort of thing:
Your problem isn't not having enough time to do things, it's not knowing how to budget that time effectively.

Similarly, someone who is bad with money doesn't suddenly become really good with their money once they win the lottery. If you had all the time in the world to work on the other things you feel like you want to/should be doing, you still wouldn't be effective.

Learn how to plan for the goals you have and organize your time. Trying to make sweeping all or nothing goals is rarely effective. Start small and choose one thing you want to start trying to make happen in your life. Figure out a small goal you can work on that will get you going that direction. Every day take some time in the morning to plan what you need to do that day with the time you have. Make time for work tasks and also for relaxation so you don't burn out. Choose a time to do the thing you want to work on for your goal and prioritize that. No matter how bad you fuck up your plan and waste time, make sure you hit that one goal. Guaranteed you will be able to end the day with a win because you accomplished something you set out to do.

Continue building from there, practicing planning your time and setting goals. It's not easy, but it does work as long as you don't quit.

i want OP to sell all his shit cold turkey and then see if he takes advantage of having a clear conscience. the fact that he wants to improve his life gives me hope that he could infact succeed. go and be based bro

so true.

first try self improving by learning moderation you absolute twat

you can play video games and still be a productive member of society, OP. Just go volunteer or something.

Do it.

I hope that one day you will go through with it, but first I pray you will cease frogposting entirely

I'm trying to do this but with porn, I think videogames are a nice commodity because life just has too many slow moments, but it's still a tad less time wastey than edging
