Shitty sequels? Nah, I'm good. Ratchet got really shitty after PS2 era. Even Crack in Time is overrated as fuck, not near the quality of originals. Maybe it's just better to let go, just look at Sly 4.

Jak 3 sold poorly. Uncharted 1 sold much better. So did Uncharted 2 and 3.And Last of Us 1 and 2 sold even better than Uncharted ever did. So they never looked back, and haven't had a reason too. They just cared less about jak and daxter than insomniac does about ratchet and clank. Insomniac was content with beating a dead horse for years, to be honest the franchise has pretty much stagnated since ratchet up your arsenal. Crack in time was the brief bright spot, but otherwise it's been meh. I haven't played the latest one though, so maybe that one is good.
Maybe if the naughty dog becomes big enough that they can develop more than 1 or 2 games at a time, you'll see a jak 4.

Even if they did a PC release there'd be a chance at getting the rugged ps4 ported versions instead of the actual good remastered versions from the ps3 collection. still scratch my head at that decision by sony/playstation
