Amico Intellivision refusing to give refunds

Long story short amico stole 43 million dollars and you can still buy their products but they won't ship them to you nor will they allow you to get a refund

Apparently you can still buy stuff from them too

they can't give back money, they spent it
kinda callous to come this far and demand a refund, you're in it for the finale bucko

How many of the people who fell for this bought into the OUYA

Apparently they've gotten 25 million dollars in pre orders
The console costs 150 dollars
That's over 167k preorders

How? Who looked at that and said you that's what I want my console to look like

Should have seen the writing on the wall

I wonder if lawyers are on this case.

Ouya is unironically a great emulation box these days

I don't know I'm not retarded
It looked like a scam and now earth worm Jim is DEAD

Well they literally have screwed up so bad that even if they DO start selling the damn things they are legally in the hole for $100 per console sold for the first 8100 consoles. This means unless they raise the price or cheap out on the console they'll be selling these things at a loss.

Soccer moms

There's 43 million in investment
So I don't know. But they seem scummy

>The Amico was the friends we made along the way

It's estimated to have 167k pre orders according to them
So idk if that's a huge loss

>now

>Sorry son. I didn't get you that amico ~~I~~ you wanted
>But I made some good friends

I never understood the point of this. Want to play old games? Great, all the power in the world to you. But there is NO MARKET WHATSOEVER for a new console for old games built around such an antiquated control scheme. I'm not even "old bad new good", there just is no fucking market. Gaming has long since moved on and found what it prefers.

>Atari fucked up. Again.
>Intellivision fucked up. Again.

Which has been dinosaur will be back next to fuck up?

Based

Hey.
Yeah you're right

>say nice things and duck out, my goose is cooked, this whole thing is gonna blow!!!!

Atari only sold 10k lol

>literally "the friends we made along the way"
You cannot make this shit up.

Why is it okay for pat to a-log these guys for years yet saying "Is this an out of season april fool's joke" is too far?

>antiquated control scheme
it's an innovative control scheme though..... it's literally all the console had going for it was this revolutionary way to play these middle of the road tier games..

What's worse is they spent so much of their budget on groovy posting.

Most transparent shilling I've ever seen and that includes the Skullgirls gas tank guy.

Twitter sure is fun..

What was the audience for this thing anyways? How did it raise so much money?
I really doubt the boomers that grew up on the Intellivision would waste the money on this.

Yeah I'm sure everyone that donated to an obvious scam really values their money and needs it back.

Never heard of this before, can I get the quick rundown? Did intellivision try making a console again?

>presenting: the sega saturn mini
>only 10 titles, including classics like BUG
>none of the good ones
>emulation very inaccurate
>no cfw potential
>cheap, flimsy controller with extremely short cable
>PAL versions of the games for all regions
i can see it. as if it had already happened

I cannot think of a poorer investment than an off-brand console. Not even the promise of Earthworm Jim made it seem legit.

None of those were old games, it was marketed as a fun and easy way to play casual games

I fucking loved groovy posting

Yup

this had to be literally the most obvious scam i have seen

based thieves, parting fools from their money

I think they genuinely wanted to release something they thought was good, but they fucked up hard

Sega is still doing well in Brazil tho

Yeah I don't get it either. I have to assume it's from tech delayed countries that got stuff later because the age timeline doesn't really add up for that many people to want to share old retro games with young kids. I think most people who have kids 5-10 right now grew up on Pokémon, not actual boomer games

>If you have not recieved your refund, cry loud, piss yourself and shit your pants on twitter
lmao faggots

>I think they genuinely wanted to release something they thought was good
t. bought the scam

I fucking refuse to believe you
This was always a fucking scam

"Game Collectors"

I saw the trailer for it, and their entire gimmick was "PITFALL IS BACK (and also a new Earthworm Jim I guess)"

I mean
They did steal 43 million

user, i can't really see the master system still being printed with built in >100 games in 1! schlop as "doing well"

There's no such thing, and third world country people would just buy chinese knockoffs anyway.

Fucking
That's who bought the VCS
Retard game collectors who will upcharge these things in 20 years
In fucking twenty years a VCS will cost 1000 dollars X0PRV
