I'm 25 hours in and I've found a single weapon (other than estoc) that scales with dex higher than D

You have to upgrade and it upgrades scale grades.

DEX is strong to some things and weak to others, just like STR.

Yes STR is vastly inferior in this game. It's a real shame too, they should have kept equip load tied to strength

dex is strong mostly because bleed is op

I beat Godrick within the first 15.

I went double bleed rapiers and it's broken good.

Then you should've found a handful of C scaling dex weapons.

Can someone explain to me what the fuck the lost ashes are and how the whole enhancement system works? Is it just free to change ashes of war whenever? So far I haven't noticed any cost and being able to select affinities for the weapons doesn't seem to cost anything either. I don't get the whole duplicate ashes of war and the point of the big walking bell buildings. This system is very confusing to me.

DEX is fine. STR is kinda weak, could use a boost. The first issue is Bleed/Frost are busted as fuck. The second issue is that most of the bosses are so insanely hard that you basically need to cheese them to win.

I don't know how to feel about the balance right now.
