The rehashed content. The dated combat mechanics. The awful design of some of the bosses. The underwhelming open world progression. The lack of meaningful content on the map that's just not more combat encounters. The terrible difficulty curve where things either feel bullshit or way too easy.
All the best parts of the game has been stuff that has been good about Souls in the past, ie Stormveil. This is the least fun I've had with a Souls game since DaS2. The fun of finding stuff on the map quickly lost its appeal, and now I miss the old level design and that feeling of pushing on to the next bonfire. Instead I'm just riding around on empty fields collecting crafting materials and hitting helpless enemies while I'm on my horse. The classic Souls feel is mostly just gone now and replaced with Open World shit.
Understandable since the demographic for the Horizon games ended up buying Elden Ring instead.

Open World just doesn't work with the Souls formula.
Andrew Gray
me too, glad i beat it lol
Eli Morgan
Is anyone even having fun with NG+, felt like a slog so far
Cameron Bennett
For me it’s just the combat I’m sorry you aren’t fighting shit You are getting slapped around and trying to trade hits by spamming an OP ash of war. That’s the entire gameplay and it’s so so incredibly sad But none of you care, and most likely you never will You’ll just buy Elden Ring 2 anyways
Gavin Powell
I don't understand why they didn't just lift the parry system from Sekiro, have perfect timed blocks completely negate damage and build posture damage on enemies.
Cameron Nguyen
Didn't ask.

Shazamsisters.... we lost...
Joshua Lewis
Didn't ask for your didn't ask

unfortunately most people are having fun and skyrim and elden ring are insanely popular and you just have to deal with it. I've taken to reading classic literature so I don't have to live through popularity ruining all my hobbies. I can always escape to my books when some open-world shit is taking over videogames

Same but I've also taken to playing weird indie titles that are objectively fucking bad but at least have interesting ideas.
Liam Myers
The open world completely kills replay value.
Bloodborne and Sekiro remain the best.
Landon Bell
The game should've had Nioh's combat mechanics.
Ayden Powell
Shazamsister, stop replying to yourself its getting sad... you lost...
Christian Morales
literally the opposite, i can start a new game and get my build set up by going where i know the things i need are, much more replayable than the old souls game
Noah Phillips
Where to find Faith weapons?
Dominic Wright
caelid has a bunch of them but you gotta kill some hard bosses, like the black gargoyle
Angel Brooks
Ok sweet I think I'm about done with Liurnia.
Christopher Young
No, it isn't. Exploring the vast open world is only a little bit fun the first playthrough, after that, it is extremely boring to go through vast areas of boring copy paste filler until you get to the actual good content. Elden Ring unironically made me appreciate DaS3 a lot more, won't ever trashtalk DaS3 after experiencing Elden Ring.
