Elden Ring Input Lag Test - A Whopping 233ms!

Why is this allowed in such a fast-paced action game? The Souls games have always had horrible input lag and this is even the worst so far. What's insane is that it has way more lag than the other titles had and they were only 30fps.

blah blah blah yackity shmackity

>zero input lag
>233ms of start-up frames
its retarded?

This is the charm of souls games: intentionally tedious, unfair and clumsy.

MAN

Git gud

Because it queues your actions, you are actually playing the game in your head

More retards? It's because both running and rolling/backstepping is on the same button. You can't know if the player wants to run or roll unless you wait a few frames initially. OP is gay and gets fucked all the time by male bosses in Elden Ring. Git gud.

wait is he measuring the input lag by pressing the roll button? wtf fucking idiot

OP is blaming his shit timing on the few frames it takes for a roll to be registered instead of gitting gud.

First of all, using "the game has extra mandatory input lag on the roll due to bad controls!!" as a defense is not doing the game any favors. Second of all, that doesn't apply when stationary and as you can see in the video, the button is held the entire time.

The backwards dash is an evasion move and this is quite literally the fastest way you can possibly do it.

Because modern games are made for LCD TVs, which have atrocious latency.

I beat BB through PS Now, which added like 300+ms of latency, and I had zero issues. The game was designed around it with slow windups to moves.

I see these vids spammed every day. Is it just bait? if it's not bait, can you at least do an actual test after going through all this trouble for whatever this is? you dont even say which monitor and stuff you're using

it does apply when stationary, actually, you would know this if you played the fucking game but you're a moron so I'm not surprised you're shitposting about something you know fuck all about

They did make sure to check against the rising edge of the dodge button press, right?

10ms display lag at 60Hz (which is 2ms more than the lowest lag display on the market or a CRT for 60Hz)

PS4 version played on PS5 (60fps locked, lowest lag way to play game)

DS4 connected via BT (DS4 slightly lower lag than DualSense; BT slightly lower lag than wired).

This is literally 2ms more than the absolute best possible case scenario for PlayStation, with everything from display to version to controller optimized

>its called 'input lag'
>its the time it takes for an animation to start on the screen from when you released the button aka the 'input' happened
whats wrong with this?
I get you idiots paid full price for a dog shit broken game and will defend it with your own lives but now you are just embarassing yourselves defending this.

It does you moron. You can literally see in the video that I'm holding the button the entire time and it still dashes. How can you actually just deny reality right in front of you?

just post the monitor like???

you are talking to turbo giga cucks that preordered this dog shit game at full price
what the fuck do you expect?
them to actually reason straight and admit its broken?
its obvious they gonna defend it and deny any proof you will ever show them

it's not input lag, there's a cadence to the actions you take in the game. if there was input lag then explain why the camera moves instantly when you touch your stick???

Well soultrash is always designed for trannies with slow brains so they like it. You are not the target audience of this game.

He didn't release the button. The roll isn't triggered when you press the button, it is trigger when you release the button, or if stationary 233ms after pressing the button (since it knows you aren't trying to sprint).

how am I supposed to get to the giants mountain at the top of the map?

>233ms
isn't it faster to send a packet around the world?

stutters
