That's really not as big a deal as people make it out to be. ER is designed around simple "quests" and interactions. Keeping it all straight isn't difficult.

fromsoft has a huge mindshare that they earned after being mostly unknown for years and being jealous of that just seems like a pointless endeavor
Personally, I don't like it. In the previous ones, it worked amazingly with controllers. Using the bumper/R1L1 buttons to swap between the menu's was intuitive. Large menu that took up most of the screen and kept the numbers hidden by a button press, but not completely overtaking the screen when you did. I think a combination of Ds2 and Ds3 would've been perfect, but now it's just odd and the control scheme seems limiting.
i was pleasantly surprised by the UI in this game. i think it' works very well and has its own identity; these faggots are probably mad that it doesn't look "correct" to them
