All I know it's like Dark Souls and I didn't like DS.
I'm gonna give this genre an another chance.

play Wretch. dont use guides. dont obsess over finding everything, the game is overwhelmingly massive so youll miss shit no matter how much you search. just do whatever you want and have fun.

If you didn’t like dark souls you probably won’t like this.
But I suggest sticking to it until you finally beat a boss or two. And if by then you still don’t like it, then you should probably move on

Just go into it like it's an adventure. It'll be challenging and counterintuitive at first, but when it clicks you'll be hooked

prisoner is pretty neat and has a nice starting magic to help you out, basically the stepping stone for getting into a spellsword build which i have found very fun
just dont get filtered by tree sentinel

I think I'm going to give in and get this game even though the performance is garbage on pc. I really want to play it and not sure how long it will take for a patch to be released to fix the performance or if it will ever even be fixed. Aside from the stutters and bad performance are there any really bad game breaking bugs I should be concerned about? I've seen a few mentions of corrupted save files but not sure if that is a widespread issue.

then the boss behind the gate stomped me. then i got bored. idk if this game is for me
