It worked for me but I have a friend that somehow rolled back 4 hours even on local when he selected it. Unless he's just a huge retard but it seems pretty difficult to mess up especially when you recall clicking a specific button.

Kind of. I've had a warning happen like 5 times asking if I wanted the cloud save or local save. Local save was always more recent so I went with that.
Usually happens after I alt f4 due to being stuck in a loading screen. If I just wait a bit before (like 2 mins) reopening it doesn't happen.
Also I'm on my second playthrough and have 1 shot both Margit and godrick. If you're playing a sorcerer and dying you NEED to git gud.

Like every Steam game, if you insist on using cloud saves, never start the game when it says "cannot sync cloud, continue anyway?". It has been this way since the beginning of time. Either disable cloud saves, or don't play the game until that warning goes away.
