You'd have to be a complete, unintellectual right wing pig fucker to not understand how art, and especially Kojima's "art," works. The entire series is super anti-nuclear in large part because he's Japanese. His country has gotten nuked twice by America, and evidently his games have a very anti-nuke and anti-America stance. It's literally war = bad and America is a huge purveyor of war.

Big Boss isn't left-wing. He'll work for anyone who pays him. In Peace Walker he only works with the Sandinistas because he has a common objective. When he met Kaz he was working with right-wing guerillas. In MGSV he works with the US and the Mujahideen and against the Soviets in Afghanistan, while working with the MPLA and the Soviet Union and against the US and UNITA in Africa. He admires Che Guevara as a warrior who found something to fight for and spent his life doing it, but Big Boss isn't particularly interested in politics himself..
