My opinion is based on gameplay and atmosphere, the actual story never mattered to me..
Best
>Knight
it has the best gameplay and presentation. I love the rain
2nd
>Asylum
The original. A very tight game with little tedium and loose ends.
3rd
>city
I actually think city is kind of lame but it's still better than
4th
>Origins
They're all fun though
the one where they genderbent copperhead for absolutely no reason than for sexy femme fatale is #1
>Asylum
>City
>Knight
massive fucking gap
>Origins
City isn't as great as people say, and Knight is better than better say. Origins sucks and is an utterly pointless experience in every regard.
Aslyum is still a masterpiece that remained unsurpassed.
I would commit genocide only to have Selina sitting on my face
My favorite is city but Arkham obviously looks the best AND it has one of my favorite coomer vidya characters. God jester suit Harley is great
Out of what I've played
>City
>Asylum
>Origins
Origins being several layers lower than either but City and Asylum pretty much being neck and neck. The martial artists in Origins make my blood boil.
City > Asylum > Origins > Knight
Everyone shits on Origins but at least it has some cool bosses, a unique Christmas atmosphere, and doesn't waste my time with the tank
At worst Origins is just more of City, it was disappointing because it recycled too much not because the new things it tried were bad
Well yeah why would it, even the "best" video game stories are just boilerplate crap.
You can't find any redemption in the batmobile at all? There's so much cooler content in Knight that it baffles me people have this opinion. I mean you can fight with Nightwing, Robin, and Catwoman. What else did you hate about Knight??
I replayed asylum and city awhile back, outside of the beginning asylum feels like an especially mediocre Dini cartoon, I was expecting to prefer it to city's bloat but city all around is more compelling.
>You can't find any redemption in the batmobile at all?
Just driving it around the city is fine that's all it should have been, the constant tank wave battles and shoehorning it into puzzles got old really fast
>you can fight with other characters
Don't really care when they all still play identically, they're mostly side missions and DLCs too
>What else did you hate about Knight??
The entire script pretty much(especially Ghost Joker and the Arkham Knight), side missions are repetitive filler that waste good characters, no normal bosses after City and Origins improved on them significantly, I could go on
I'll agree about the lack of boss fights and the weak story, but just moving around Gotham and doing the side mission is peak Batman for me.
Don't mind me, just posting by FAR the best Batman game
Anyone here played Arkham VR? I'm a fan of the series and recently got a Quest 2, and was thinking of getting Arkham VR for it. I don't mind that it's the typical cinematic adventure game that has five or so interactions and then ends after half an hour, I'm okay with that. I just wanna know if it's any good. Tone, mood and style are some of my favourite things from the Arkham games, and I kinda want more of it.
Don’t pay more than $5 and you’ll be happy. Or just pirate it.
Arkham Knight is the best solely because of the Keatonmobile. Liteeralllly fuckin eat shit you dumb niggers if you dare think otheriwse. you le nothing i am le bester.
The joker shit was extremely disappointing though. It completely distracted from the incredible story of the the gas man story line. It became so confused and then ultimately the gas man took a back seat to the joker, once again. I continue to speculate that the devs had a hard on for Mark Hamil and that is almost certainly the main character, not Keatonman.
>Still No Batman Beyond Arkham game
Instead we get Batman's Groupies: The Game
Knight < City < Origins < Asylum
Yeah, I saw a key for €3,38. Good experience then? Alright, getting it.
I usually just play them one after the other, I don't have a problem with Arkham Origins as much as other people do, they do some stuff I actually liked.
Like Batman taking a combat stance since he's still new to the whole THE BATMAN thing. Also, I thought the combat and the electric gloves were fun. All I would need now is a Beyond game, but I don't think any game dev would want to touch a Terry Batman game.
