TO SAVE OUR MOTHER EARTH FROM ANY ALIE- whoops

Looks like shit but I enjoy the movie. I understand it's supposed to be satire, but when the language and attitudes are copied from the average American dialogue about their military I think it is maybe too subtle.

The gameplay so far looks extremely bland.

I dont understand your post

From what ive seen you have rifles, snipers, flamethrowers, MGs at the start, and you have to manage their lines of fire pretty much like the movie inly expanded, later you get mechs and hopefully something more and atleast 2 entirely new bug types ive never seen in the movie with most likely all the bug types from the actual movie.
You gotta understand, they dont know whether this will sell well so theyre really focused on the basics rn but it has a lot of potential for expansion in the future

I mean the movie is intended to be satire but I don't see it, probably because I have been raised around ridiculous people that think and speak like this without ironic intent.

It's easy to see why people might not think it's satire. The movie is a pretty decent lesson, that various viewpoints will see things in different lights regardless of presentation.
This game, like every other starship troopers game, is doomed for failure. I wish this was not the case because I want to kill bugs in an RTS. But the license is cursed.

I cant even imagine being around people that ridicolous. Im from europe and the satire was so strikingly obvious to me hahahahah funny how 2 people can have such drastically different experiences just because they were raised in different areas of the world

You good?

>starship troopers
>too subtle
Yeah maybe if you have the IQ of a squirrel(a really fucking stupid squirrel)

I mean look at this shit I have had to deal with. This is a real ad. It could have easily been in Starship Troopers.

When culture becomes too dumb to satire then discerning intent becomes a problem.

I got to see American media pretty regularly while living outside of the states, and I can get why kids or immature adults would have thought it's not satire.
It should be obvious but when you're surrounded by stuff like that every day you're gonna have a pretty high chance of thinking it's unironic.

I didn't get it was satire, but I also saw it in theaters when I was 7. First time seeing titties.

I'M FROM BUENOS AIRES

>spaceships
>titties
>giant bugs getting torn apart in a gruesome manner

Never cared for the whole it's satire schlick.

I played the demo and it kind of is. It was a bit too simple for my tastes. It's too bad they didn't go more in the direction of They Are Billions and Age of Darkness.

fuck off tango niggers, Santiago is full
you can crash in Bolivia if you want

I'M DOING MY PART

>mfw loved the first movie as an 8 year old watching it on peruvian illegal tv channel
>mfw read the book
>mfw watched the 2012 movie, the 2 movie B tier crap sequels
>mfw I just wanted bug war shit
>mfw the book and the movies are american twitter politics shit
