It has the crest of Seiros on it. For all we know that is a Nabatean sacred weapon that Rhea gave to her boyfriend Wilhelm during the War of Heroes.

Wilhelm was a holy knight, his statue has him with a sword, probably one we haven't seen since it doesn't match the sword of seiros. If it's an ancestral weapon my money's on Wilhelm's son Lycaon.

Eh, I feel like people are memeing too hard aobut a golden route but if Edelgard is wielding a real sacred weapon with Seiros's crest, instead of a custom relic like Aymr, something about the relationship between her, Rhea and vis-a-vis the Slithers has changed in this new scenario.
The mission from the trailer talks about her defeating knights of seiros on the way to the monastery rather than launching a surprise siege means things are probably extremely different this time around.

Yeah. If AoC got a golding ending, then 3H is a shoe in happy ending for all parties.
