very much, McGee recently posted about a tv show adaptation actually being in the works, so everything is going more than well in terms of people's interest in the franchise to give EA the final push to greenlight the game development
technically, they already greenlit it long ago, but the caveat is McGee would have to gather the money for development on his own, but he confirmed that more than one famous videogame industry companies(can't make names yet) are more than willing to fund it once everything is ready to actually start development
