what the fuck is with the artificial difficulty in this game
i'm getting killed by shit 15 fucking levels lower than me on EASY for fuck sake
literally what the fuck am i doing wrong, i'm 50 hours in i know about the orb bullshit and art cancelling but i still get oneshot by mobs that don't even show a fucking attack animation
What the fuck is with the artificial difficulty in this game
There is no reason why you should be getting killed by normal enemies 15 levels lower then you. Even named monsters shouldn’t.
Did you level up your character and blades abilities on the affinity charts?
yes, i literally spend 20 hours afking the game and just letting merc missions run so i could get as much as i could that didn't require the bullshit like perun needing to talk to 4 specific NPCs just to get hers to level 2, i'm level 50 and i'm dying to normal mobs in fucking tantal
XC1 was no where near this bad
dink probably isnt using pouch buffs, accessories or weapon chips either.least he figured out leveling up at an inn.... probably
>Imagine playing on easy
>Imagine still being this bad
This game really isn't hard, you just suck.
Using bonus XP makes the game way too easy, but it sounds like he might need it
literally done all of that, pray tell which buffs and accessories am i meant to use then because at this point i'm ready to just stack agility like XC1
I never used pouch buffs, and stopped caring about chips and other upgrades about halfway through the game.
And I was still underleveled for the final boss.
Xenoblade 1 is much worse about this because it has artificial difficulty with agility
What does your party look like?
Levels mattered a whole lot more in XB1. If you weren't properly optimized, an enemy even 1 or 2 levels above would fuck your shit up.
The game is all about to break the opponent and topple them. If you dont learn that then they will beat you up.
rex: pyra. roc, wulfric
zeke: pandoria, elctra, generic shadow because no third rare
nia: dromach, floren, dahlia basically just have her as a full time healer
food buffs are all just art recharges
accessories for rex are AA damage+, zeke has +HP and aggro, nia +healing arts
should i just drop zeke and put morag back in?
>should i just drop zeke and put morag back in?
Yes, you might want to consider switching someone for a tank like Morag or Tora. Also use Mythra instead of Pyra, she provides a party wide accuracy and evasion boost at max affinity.
Is it Mythra who also gives auto-recharge on arts?
Relying on Zeke for tanking only works if you're controlling him, because Pandoria has garbage defenses
Yes, she has crit recharge, if one of your art crits it will recharge automatically a certain amount depending on her affinity chart.
I never paid much attention to the affinity chart, but I did notice on occasion that Mythra would just let me spam the back and side-attacking arts.
feels like i'd be better off just using common blades instead
XC2 was my first Xeno game. Assuming you're not trolling, you should probably equip every item that's equipable and reread the tutorials so you can make use of the mechanics.
i just finished this game and i recall a couple of parts where the mobs would just fuck me over...
just run from that shit, you're just mad youre getting your ass handed to you, theres no such thing as artificial difficulty. either they meant to program it like that, or they didnt
Is there a character in 2 with particular mechanics like Melia? What saved the first game for me was Melia, she was interesting to play, all the other characters were just boring.
You're definitely playing the game wrong, being five levels above an enemy basically renders you untouchable in Xenoblade games.
Not really, no.
That's one of her passive. You'll notice that on affinity charts, each blades have 3 passives (the yellow circles). The red circle indicate the effects of each specials (lvl 1, 2, and 3) and the green circles indicate the field skills.
The easiest and most optimal way for now is for you to use Morag with her main blade Brighid, and two chroma katanas with agility modifiers (if you want to vary her kit and give her a topple option, give her Finch or a shield hammer with an agility modifier). As for accessory, give her agility boosts as well
No, there's no element summon mechanics in 2. Hell, there's no element summon mechanics in X either. 3 MIGHT have them back considering Eunie's weapon is a mix of Melia's staff and Sharla's riffle.
so basically just make her dunban?
Yes, pretty much. As for aux cores, I recommend you give all of her blades affinity max attack and indoor/outdoor attack up to ensure she will hold the aggro.
alright i'll give that a try if i even have the cores, ty
I'm not talking about summoning, but about a character's fighting style that requires a brain, instead of just "spam skills as soon as they're off cooldown" or "position yourself to the back or the side of the enemy".
