Elden ring just showed us how many people have shitty PCs and can't afford to upgrade them. That's why you see ps5 being one of the highest demanded consoles ever, pc gaming revenues have shrunk in 2021 compared to 2019.

I think the reason why PCs can't play games well is because of John carmack law a console will be 2x more powerfull then pc with the same specs.

This news is ancient. I abandoned PC gaming shortly after Skyrim. More and more mods required resources I simply didn't have. Even World of Warcraft's eventual asking specs were ridiculous vs performance in raids.

Bullshit. Devs will be the ones who have to adapt, rarely the users. If GPU prices rocket sky high, people will play indie games. It's up to the devs to make do with the common specs, it's never the users who has to upgrade unless GPUs are just as commonly available.

If we combine how many next Gen consoles sold so far the number is 2x that of last gen consoles and you can add gen 6, 7 and 8 numbers and next Gen consoles still have sold way more.

Elden Ring doesnt even have constant 60fps on PS5 on performance mode. 3080s have stuttering issues. Its great content but a bad product on a technical level, thats just objectively true.

I don't buy any game with good graphics or ray tracing anymore. Why pay full price to play those games on my old 1070 when I can just wait until I finally get a card? I stopped looking for PS5's too and have sort of just given up because im tired of the fucking bullshit. Ill just play my collection of old ass games and JRPG's on ancient consoles until things get less stupid or just quit this stupid hobby and get back into reading books again.
