I haven’t felt this much joy of discovery since playing Zelda 1 for the first time. You just explore and find cool things or encounters.
What’s been your favorite discovery so far?
Comfy sense of adventure-chad thread
I haven't felt this much boredom at having to slog through padding and filter to get to the actual well designed areas of this game since the last time I played open world garbage
You've never played Zelda 1 for more than half an hour, if at all.
Depressed fags.
>I haven’t felt this much joy of discovery since playing Zelda 1
Play more games.
I know exactly what you mean user. I thought I was burned out on open worlds, but it turns out that seemingly no modern game had done it properly until now.
>What’s been your favorite discovery so far
Beating a fairly easy cave near the starting area, then realising that instead of using the "return to entry" thing I can walk past the boss room through an undersea tunnel and explore a small but densely detailed island. It was night, so I admired the beauty of the tree and moon and made a note on my phone to return here when I've levelled up certain attributes.
>What's been your favorite discovery so far
The fucking volcano place, or the rotted lands. I can't decide. They are both really fucking neat
Is this the one with the dragon church? There's nothing there, besides the church.
Are there any other instances like the teleport trap in Limgrave? It was absolutely kino and I wish you weren't able to fast travel immediately once you got out of the mines.
where is 'red eye orb' equivalent found?
Blood hunter is my favorite so far, as well as the wolf dude.
In the best south region of Limgrave, east of the tree, there is tower that teleports you, too. You get a talisman if regeneration out of it. And I saw another one, but I forget where.
Was it kino?
Yep. There's some useful stuff to collect (smithing stones), and if you go at night you get a beautiful view. And now I know there's some whole other dragon-themed mechanic that I don't have the right build to make use of any time soon.
Mostly though, it was just the thrill of emerging in that location and the peaceful atmosphere as I looked around.
Dark Souls 2 bros...we won.
Dragon incantations require both int and fth, so you know.
>literally ZERO barefoot waifus...
what the hell miyazaki?
I forgot which cave he was in, even. Unless he didn't come back there with a shop.
>walk around some
>begin losing interest in field with dilapitated castle pillars super hard
>walk around some more
>start running past all enemies because they spam attacks and i do like 3 damage to them
>reach the other side of the map, nothing is there
>jump off into the water
i should just uninstall, i have absolutely 0 motivation to put up with this game for a second longer
This game is big.
BIG.
>i do like 3 damage to them
How? Even a naked nigger with a stick does fine. Did you try to kill the golden Knight dude from the get go?
Honestly I feel like I should just stop as well. Maybe huff some copium and hope patches and DLC will make it better and save the rest of my first playthrough for then.
Golden Seed or Stonesword Key?
the cave in the ravine north of the limgrave swamp where you fight the dragon.
where do i find the retard with the wolf head?
Better to upgrade wolves spirits or the wandering nobles?
Golden Seed.
you can upgrade spirits/ shieeeet
Oh yeah. Thanks.
Help
BOTW was the most fun in a video game I had since 2006 when Twilight Princess came out
Elden Ring is the most fun in a video game ive had since BOTW
This game is filled to the brim with secret questlines its so fucking cool
>clear a small cave dungeon
>hey how weird it leads to a secluded area in the overworld
>npc lady with a big wolf is there but wants nothing to do with me
>1 hour later find a albino village
>find a mimicked npc disguised as a pot
>gives me half of a medallion for a giant elevator and asks me to find a albino lady and tell her the old man sent me
>go back to npc lady with the wolf, she asks me to take her with me to the destination the medallion is for
>say yes and she turns into a summon ash
then i went back to the roundtable and got invaded by that edgelord by the door to the library, pissed i have that medallion
i killed him right at the start and besides his big stomp he was fine except for the ridiculous fps drops
the random enemies that are running around outside do not seem worth attacking, they fall over in one attack, give like 1 rune and drop nothing
then the big ones like the giants and especially the dogs and ravens in that eastern part of the map take way too long to kill and also drop nothing - i felt genuine relief the moment i decided to just not bother with them anymore and keep walking
but if you do that then there's nothing to do, so what's the point? look at the gold hue everything and explore some ruins for an item that like gives you 2% more fp for 10 seconds with a 5 second use animation?
discord
do the graces disappear form the map once you clear whatever it is they are pointing to?
What's the best pure faith tailsman I can get to replace the Finger Seal in mid game?
theres a merchant in the bear forest that sells them
where is the albino user?
>fucking around in the swamp
>swamp hillbillies have a chest
>open it and immediately back away expecting a trap, just before teleport smoke
>go in anyways after a few more triggerings for giggles
>regret my words and deeds as I run out of the mine of the damned into a poison swamp
>Melina said it was all a test and offers to take me to the cool kid castle
This game's a trip.
western liurnia lake
south for the cave dungeon that leads to the girls, north past the small poison swamp for the albino village
>i killed him right at the start
Haha. I sure didn't do it at the start. I did some dungeons as a wretch with just the club, so that's something, right?
Is anything better than the Meteorite Staff?
I have 40 int and upgrading the staves from Raya Lucaria doesn't seem worth it and the Renalla staff and Spell cost 60 and 70 in respectively to use.
Also are the INT/ARC bubble spells any good?
please respond
Game is genuinely god tier. For poorfags like myself, EAC is a huge performance hit (no fucking idea why, it's meant to be a light weight anti cheat software). Between this and the caching, shit was borderline unplayable for me (45-50fps average to continuous slowdowns during most fights).
I recommend disabling the shit or just playing on the pirated version of the game until Fromsoft fixes the performance.
What dungeon is she in? I found the dude but can't seem to find her anywhere
lmfao this game is boring as fuck for exploring. Youre def a shill. This game is so boss oriented...
where the FUCK do you find/craft poison cures
>god tier
back to plebbit, also burn the witch
I mean it's not like you're missing out, he drops nothing worth anything anyway.
If you enjoy running around then more power to you, I'd recommend not even trying to fight the main bosses - I find them to just be very frustrating and unrewarding and the story is very bland anyway.
They don't even have good music.
>posted in a previous thread
but this is what my current overworld map looks like. I spent HOURS in the underground area and i'm still missing shit.
Why do you need them? Early on the most you'll encounter are the stupid flowers. Just buy all recipes you see.
>Cat Statue
>Cat Statue 2.0 royal rat authority edition
>Cat Statue 3.0 Throne watcher and defender edition
Yeah, this game is starting to turn into shit.
>Fallingstar Beast
This would be the final boss in other games, and it's just randomly in a mine.
I think I missed the 2.0 one. Oh well.
I enjoy point and click adventure games
the full grown is a mess
Does Patches ever go to the round table?
As described, you're not missing anything. It's cat statue with 4 thrall stone boys thrown in just for irritation purposes.
How come Margit was that much harder than Godrick?
i havent seen melina nor had the option to talk to her at grace points ever since getting the invite to the roundtable
im two regions deep, is this supposed to happen?
