Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes

When are we going to get some information on this? That first trailer barely had anything.

I'm not asking for a huge infodump but considering the game is coming out in under 4 months at this point you would think there would be something else.

Dynasty Warriors with Fire Emblem Characters, do you actually need anything else? It's a waste of fucking development time.

You aren't going to kiss boy or be able to ship/pair up to fulfill all your cuck fantasies.
What are you getting excited for?

You’re retarded

He's right. At this point the story doesn't fucking matter because it's just yet another warriors fanfic game.

Yeah, this. Boring garbage, more stale and played out than COD.

Story never matters in warriors games.
Only gay people and women care about story

Only Golden Chads and Blue Kings welcomed in this thread.

Warriors games fuel my autism because I need a fucking spreadsheet to figure out how to do anything.

Story never matters in warriors games, and the only reason people like Fire Emblem Three Houses is because of the story.
Now you do the math.

Three Hopes might be able to nail some interesting worldbuilding stuff but I doubt the overall story is going to be excellent unless they pull some interesting stunt with it.

Which is why I'm really expecting this to do poorly with Three House fans.
I already know most 3H fans are gay and women.

>we could've gotten unga bunga king Nemesis wrecking shit through Fodlan in a Warriors game
>instead we got a golden route fanfic
Why

I don't think it's been confirmed to be a Golden Route. It likely could be, since that's what AoC was, but nothing has actually been confirmed yet.

Three Houses had both a strong story and enjoyable gameplay, being one of the most open-ended Fire Emblem games to date. I think part of the reason it was received well was because of Koei Tecmo's involvement.

It's dynasty warriors with a fire emblem skin, what do you need to know? You'll juggle dozens of harmless mooks and occasionally fight an officer. There will be constant alarms and announcements of shit happening all over the screen so you just run back and forth mindlessly mashing x and y on the non threatening blobs.

The gameplay is so stale and repetitive that they have to count on brand appeal to survive, just not their brand.

Sadly, I think it's gonna perform really well since it's riding the coat tails of a successful main series entry, just like Age of Calamity.
People are gonna pretend to love it for a few weeks due to the sunk cost fallacy and fomo and then nobody will ever talk about it again.

Really they should just make Dynasty Warriors games again and stop with this horrid crossover bullshit nobody actually wants. It's just cheap brand recogniton and hype for a product that is doomed to be mediocre at best from its premise.

Gameplay was a step up from the 3ds average, but still fairly simple gameplay. Prior to the addition of Maddening, Gaiden chapters were the only challenging maps in 3H. Most maps are fairly simple.
3H maddening is bs at times but still one of the more tolerable insane FE difficulties. Like battalions becomes more of a necessity.
However seeing most discussion, I doubt the average 3H really cares about the gameplay. At least the most vocal ones are more keen on their shipping and pairings, and not really caring for the gameplay.
Perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself, but I really doubt this game will spark interest in 3H fans. Few threads on release but interest will over all die out due to the heavy gameplay focus the Warrior game will have

Three Houses had some of the absolute worst gameplay in the series. It was so piss easy and unbalanced in your favor that they had to introduce a bullshit difficulty where everything doubles you with massive damage just to make the player actually pay attention in fights.
And I say that as a fan of Three Houses. But let's not kid ourselves here. You can't claim that it had good gameplay if you've played Fire Emblem before.

I'm actually pretty excited but I do think it may only be a modest experience for people who are only fans of Three Houses. I'm a fan of both 3H and warriors games, though, so I'm kind of set either way.

The thing with any warriors game is that for them to really "click" for you, you need to enjoy a certain kind of gameplay rhythm. If you don't enjoy that, it can be pretty bland but if you do enjoy it than you can end up putting hundreds of hours in them.

Can't say I agree there. I will agree the game is pretty easy and there is a demand for maybe a middleground between Hard and Maddening, but I don't think the gameplay is bad. Flawed, but far from bad. I would personally say the worst in the series was either Lunatic in maddening or most of Revelations unless you play it with the intent to create certain builds.
