Do you actually do anything in this game except fight enemies?

Like, I'm struggling to understand why this game is open world or worth $60 when all you do is roll around and hit shit with your sword for 40-80 hours.

It's a Dark Souls clone... but without anything that made Dark Souls good.

Ok but what do you actually DO in it besides hitting enemies?

I've never played Dark or Demon souls, which one is the best for PC

I kind of agree the open world doesn't do much for it. Would've preferred another linear game. All there is to do is kill bosses.

So at first you fight enemies. But then you settle down, build a cabin, cultivate fields, hunt animals and fish, get a wife, attract a community, establish a wife, and then you take over as your son and start all over again.

Frankly my favorite part of the souls games was always exploring and clearing dungeons. Open world let them go crazy with that part of the game.

It's not really being shilled that hard compared to the amount of Shazamniggering, including this thread, that is constantly being posted in outrage that the game isn't a failure like they(and you) are so desperate for it to be.

At least the horse is here I guess but after ten hours I'm wondering what the point of the exploration really is when it's just another Skyrim cave with just another reused enemy who give some minimal runes.
Wasn't the missing quest log mentioned somewhere? But I haven't found any quests yet, just the typical FromSoft item returnal for characters that probably left already.
