>he didn't experience LA in the 90's
He didn't experience LA in the 90's
I was an oracle kids
Despite having had the NES, I didn't bother with Zelda at all until the Classic NES version on GBA.
Who cares when you played it? Doesn't change the fact that DX is the peak performance version.
la was shithole in the 90s like it is now
I only knew about Link's Awakening when the remake was announced, I don't like the way the original looked, it's too old. I'm glad the remake came along.
Does this make you mad? Good, the original sucks, it's ugly and has no space in the modern age. The remake however is the best game I've played in a while. I have no respect for old games and I don't give a shit if good new games wouldn't exist without them. Seethe old man.
>DX is the peak performance
fuck the DX, just a bunch of useless additions and a color scheme that ruins the atmosphere
Kek
consoomer fag
>content bad
Go back to modern Pokémon.
I didn't, but I did experience Metroid 2, and that was the first game I ever beat. (Game Boy was my first system)
Link's Awakening DX was the first 'real' game I beat as a kid. I love it. Yes, I do think the remake is heavily misguided.
moot content sucks, it ruins the aesthetic, and it removes the teleportation maneuver, get fucked
Name one (1) good zelda game
pro tip: you can't
Bad take
I did tho
a link between worlds, beat that one and get back to me
But I did. The first game I got with my GameBoy as present. And DX a few years later. And the Switch remaster earlier this year.
every time I start a zelda game I get bored after few hours. I know it's only me, but Zelda never clicked for me, it's so bland and generic both gameplay and story wise
yeah my brother's the same way, no hard feelings
Zelda
Zelda 2
Zelda 3
Zelda 4
Zelda 5
Zelda 6/7
Zelda 8
all good
>map was a pain to explore, especially with the Gameboy's limitations
>limited buttons also meant constant menuing just to pick up pots, the flow of the gameplay feels very start and stop for this reason
>swordplay feels even cruder than Link to the Past, huge sword swipe that's very forgiving
>boss battles aren't any better than Link to the Past's, just mindless button mashing
>get an amazing item, the Wizard Rod, only for it to be virtually useless since it's not even used to fight the final boss and you get when the game is 95% finished
Only the puzzles in the dungeons are an improvement, since some of them had neat gimmicks like beating enemies in a room in a certain order. And the stone beaks found in dungeons were also neat because they weren't necessary, but gave clues to help players with puzzles like those. Link's Awakening was pretty impressive for its time, I think they did the best they could with what they had, but I don't think it holds up today.
>map was a pain to explore
the fuck it was, everything you typed is now worthless
Soul Blazer is better than Legend of Reddit
