Game basically forces you to Parry him. There is dungeon near by grants you a talisman that heals on crits. Really helps

How do I do anything to him? He never stops attacking. To do ideal damage you need to stun him but to do that you need to use slow as fuck r2. I'm full str and it's not that I want to unga bunga. I just want some fucking chances to attack. Doesn't help my starting axe does fuck all damage.

just complete a ton of side dungeons and get overleveled :^)

He's hard, the horse boss in the beginning is hard, the KNEEL boss is hard
All they fucking do is super fast combo that you can barely dodge or delay their attacks to mess with you
And then they have a lot of health and dmg, i hope the bosses wont be harder later on

literally just git gud, also do the fucking caves and level up your character

Get out of the mentality that you avoid attacks only by dodging or moving away. You have more opportunity to do damage than you think. Half the difficulty is the intimidation factor.

Has anyone tried this with a pure str build? Im trying with the battle hammer +2 and I'm still just getting wrekt.

Beat him at level 22. Wretch starting class
>dual wielding 2 longswords, left has golden vow ash of war, right has war cry
>at the grace before the fogwall, switch to 1 handed left longsword and use Golden Vow
>rest at grace and back out immediately to refill FP
>run to fog wall, switch back to 2 handed and quickly enter
>immediately summon jelly bro
>Use war cry, now have 2 attack buffs and some defense from golden vow
>do as much damage as possible, buff again when they wear off
>jellybro poisons him but typically dies by the time he's half health
>took like 20 tries but eventually whooped his ass
