They realized most of the buyers in this genre are completely incompetent and content with that, so they produced a fitting design, which will be fervently defended until players get bored with it.

This is wrong. The early game has fallen to shit with drush spam, and Castles as a structure shut down Castle Age interactions.
Giant ass bugs at launch which where never quickly fixed and are still in the game. Literally the only thing wrong with it.

Its genre with older population who allready found their niche game. If you want rts you have enough choice allready and this one wasnt different enough

We literally have AoE2 DE for all the medieval shit they want to make, so why not go for ancient age instead? Would've been a lot better.

Yeah, until your enemy's crossbows dismantle that offense.
Walls have only one counter: Siege. You force your opponent into expensive sidegrades, and when they finally push through, most don't have the sense not to pour through the hole, so they get annihilated by whatever army you've prepared. You prevent harassment, you block their scouting attempts, and you waste their army investment, which is still required because you can just leave your walls to fight them. Walls are an excellent tool in most cases, and the fact that so many of the community's players are too dumb to recognize this is completely frustrating.
