Disgaea has lost it's charm and the grinds have gotten insane since Makai Kingdom. They are extremely lazy with DLC. It being the literal same for every game. The story/characters in 5 was so bad that it took the pandemic shutting down everything to force me to finish it, I got it at launch.

I honestly liked the characters in 5 way more than anything from 3 or 4. 3 and 4 were trying insanely hard to be funny, so characters in 5 being relatively chill was a really nice breath of fresh air. Ultimately the story is closer to being a tutorial to the game.
I will confess, however, I played the game on the switch and anything I learned from this series is that being on a portable system is an absolute must.

I mean, I'd care if it was officially announced... somewhat. Disgaea 6 + the shitty mobile game retards latched onto kinda confirmed the series is dead. See the pathetic /vg/ general that doesn't pretend the people who play that game gave a shit about Disgaea or N1 in general beforehand.
That said I'd probably play it. But at this point I suspect I'd even have more fun with D2. And we're starting to see fun alternative titles like ZHP and Makai Kingdom ported too.
