Not always. Take Dishonored and especially Dishonoured 2 for example. The nice non-lethal options are some real sadistic sicko shit. Just killing them is more magnanimous. The ones in the first game were at least somewhat ironic like sending a rich asshole who got rich off of slave labour to work in his own mines but Dishonoured 2 is just evil for the most part. For example, you get to fry a genius inventor's brain with electric shocks or have someone locked up in a lunatic asylum
