Physical bros, why do some covers have "Launch Edition" on them? Are there actually different versions?

It's too feed into FOMO-shit, which is insane hyper-conzoomer bullshit.
yeah, the other cover doesn't say launch edition.
guess thats there so you can brag about it in some years about muh launch edition
Best Buy, Walmart and Target don’t don the launch edition mark so I’m curious if it’s regional or only directly from the Bamco store
They don't. When you actually receive them it's just the normal box. The "Launch Edition" cover is for listings only.
My launch edition comes with a cool steelbook.
>Launch Edition
there is a difference
Yeah there's a bunch of bonuses. What I mean is it doesn't literally say "launch edition" on the cover when you get it (thank god)
I see cado's ugly gaping ass in the center of that cover.
That seems store specific for your country, like Best But here gets the steelbook but none of the other stuff.
Damn, for the same price I'll get the Launch Edition then.
That's the puke inducing poorfag limited edition. I rather go digital, than buy this crap.
Not that the €200+ CE was that good to begin with. I want a 100 + pages artbook.
That EU only
I am tired of stickers, artbooks, and cards. I'd literally rather have nothing.
>3 art cards
Why would anyone want this shit? Why not a small art book like Dark Souls had?
Yep this is region specific
It's not exclusive to this game. When I bought God of War, this was what I got. The only thing that was actually different was the cover.
Art books are the only good thing in these editions. But you don't get one in this one.
Dark Souls 1 had one that included a CD track. Iirc so did Demon Souls
it's to bait collectors with the first edition shit
same as nintendo games with the black vs gold label, literally meaningless unless you're a collector who wants the first run edition for their collection
>Dark Souls 1 had one that included a CD track.
making of dvd too
Imagine caring about "Launch" editions. Your modern boxes are so fucking ugly and useless. Video games have always been electronic data gatekept by plastic carts and discs. This is no longer the case with modern technology. Grow up. Anything with Launch Edition on the cover and no colored book inside is utterly worthless and is just going straight to the landfill.
Demon's Souls had a whole strategy guide in its collector's edition.
To let potential used buyers know it's the shittiest disc-based version of the game.
