Is there a Moonlight Greatsword in Elden Ring? God, I hope not. It's such a meme weapon and I don't want to hear people talking about it constantly like they did when Bloodborne first came out. Of course even if the sword didn't exist in Elden Ring people would just find some new meme weapon to make memes out of.

Yes, they asked this question at game informer. Probably very hidden since it hasn’t leaked yet.

I don't have the game, nor have i seen confirmation, but expect it to be in the game. The moon is literally part of the story, and one of the schools of magic revolves around the moon and stars.

Well, fuck. Hopefully it sucks ass or people won't spam memes of it, I got so sick of the Bloodborne MGS memes after the first 2-3 days of people spamming them on Any Forums.

It's a from soft game. Yes. There is also a patches equivalent. Two staples of 99% of From soft games.

The game is showcasing that magic is pretty great, MGS is probably going to be a high-level weapon with a crazy stat requirement. If anything it's going to be OP.

Well elden ring is Dark Souls 2-2, and in DS2 the Moonlight Greatsword was just carried by some random dude that you meet immediately in the hubworld area, you can even kill him for it right away, but it's pretty mediocre. So probably something like that again, a throwaway reference but nothing too important like in Bloodborne.

>in DS2 the Moonlight Greatsword was just carried by some random dude that you meet immediately in the hubworld area,
That's a fake one called "Bluemoon", you can make the real one using Old Paledrake's soul from Duke's Dear Freja on NG+ cycles or with a Bonfire Ascetic. The real MLGS has a slimmer blade and a longer handle

Its basically a standard in almost every From game. I doubt they would leave it out.

>Dark Souls 2-2
In what universe?

Fuck you faggot, they'll stop adding the sword when they stop making Kings Field games never ever.

I hope they just import it from Bloodborne. That's the best iteration of it they've ever done. It's so fucking cool.

i hope its in, and hope that it will be better than bloodbornes

I actually preferred the DS3 version since it allows you to use the R2 attacks without being forced to use durability/blood bullets to shoot the beam. If you want the beam then you just charge the R2, and I feel like that opens up the moveset much more so you don't need to be cautious about using R2s. The L2 weapon art in DS3 was basically the same as the L2 in BB as well.

The BB one was awesome because it also let you use a claymore as the untricked form and that was fucking great, but I don't see Elden Ring having trick weapons, sadly.

As I said the R2s in DS3 are useable without firing the beam, which makes them much more useful in the moveset. You still have the beam through charging the R2s, but the only way the BB one is better is aesthetically.

why wont you want the beam?
you can easily repair the weapon, its not too much of a deal

A reviewer confirmed on discord that there is but it's extremely late game, at the end of a long quest chain.
