Even aside from the massive amount of video games that will become lost media, the 3DS itself will be lost. I can no longer play 3D games, the prices of 3DS will continue to skyrocket and all of them will eventually break. This isn’t like the NES or PS1 days, you can emulate those games.
But you can’t with all 3DS games. Even if they archive the whole eshop in emulation which I doubt, you can’t play games in 3D and with a stylus on PC. This is legitimately sad. In 20 years some of my favorite games I will never be able to play ever again and will only be able to watch YouTube gameplay of them if I’m lucky.

actually, my switch mm2 stylus will probably work on the deck. the 3d sucked anyway, but if you buy a 3d monitor it can be probably be achieved via emulation nothing will be lost
