Games Bad
Demos Good

The necromancer class in Soulash is hilariously overpowered.
>no cap or time limit on zombies
>literally any corpse can be used as fuel, even wildlife like badgers or a pile of bones
>all zombies are equally strong
Every single enemy I killed was another zombie in my army, so combat snowballed pretty hard in my favor. By the end I literally could not be killed because nothing on the map could deal enough damage to me before my literal dozens of zombies surrounded them and beat them into paste.

I think everyone might still be asleep, user.

I don't understand why they only run these demo festivals for one week. Who has time to actually enjoy anything other than NEETs who probably don't buy games over $10 anyway?

>good
Before The Night
Card Shark
Pharaoh
Total Overkill (as everyone else has already said)

>average
Autopsy Sim
Ketchup and Mayo
Tower Princess

>bad
Ixion

because it's more fun that way dumbass

user GAMES (that I'm aware of):
>Dragon Island
>Nova Odessa - The Demon Trainer
>Pain Party

Also shit niggas let's play some Pain Party throughout the thread. All you need is 2+ people to start a game and you can finish a round, knowing nothing about the game like I did, in

im having quite some fun with Battle Cry of Freedom, ive never played m&b napoleonic wars

Hell Pie was kind of neat outside of the boss randomly refusing to spawn in sometimes

>listening to my radio station just now
>culture segment
>they mention that Steam Next Fest is underway
What the fug. It's a normal FM station, not some small internet radio.

Well, I think I'll pass this time. I've played like a hundred demos last year, but I'll be lurking in case anyone finds something good and new.

No it isn't, it makes it sweaty for no good reason.

>The brew baron
>expect Sid Meier Pirate but Porco Rosso seaplane kino
>get foraging with plane and bar management instead
lame

>Fire On Fight : Online Multiplayer Shooter is a competitive online multiplayer first person shooter game with stunning 3D graphics and captivating gameplay.
>Select your unique soldier and weapons from tons of different soldiers and weapons of different classes and styles

Because if there is no time limit you will download this demos and never play them, like the rest of your steam backlog.

BLACKTAIL
Seems boring as fuck. Story of growing up for girls, pretentious. Lots of small tecnical difficulties.

Ctrl Alt Ego
Cool. Feels like lighthearted System shock. Jumping from camera to camera, sometimes controlling robots. Some vent crawling, some fighting. Seemed pretty free-form, but i did not tested enough.

IXION
Looks interesting. Some Frostpunk inspirations. Did not click a button so all my workers died after 10 cycle. But I'm sold already.

The Wandering Village
Nice survival city builder. City itself is pretty standard but well made. Being on moving beast adds some strategic layer as you can see upcoming hazards and sometimes chose what road to take.

Some recommendations:

>Neon White
Really fun time trial puzzle fps with neat mechanics and visual design. The vn segments are awfully written though. Thankfully you can skip them.

>Trial Out
Car combat game with good physics. Corny, over the top writing combined with esl voice actors leads to some really funny cutscenes. It's also kinda horny.

>Heroes Hour
HoMM3 but the combat is an auto battler.

>Turbo Overkill
It's cyberpunk Ultrakill but with more breadth to the environment and mechanics

>Card Shark
You play a french kid who learns con games and magic tricks involving cards.

>Pull Stay
tower defense beat em up with a japanese bizarro aesthetic.

>Hell Pie
edgelord psychonauts. Demo pulls no punches. Literally "haha what if blood libel was shit libel". It's much, much better than I thought it was going to be.

>Peripeteia
Janky post-soviet deus ex. Big empty environs and uggo fanime character models. Rad-as-hell ui. Best hacking minigame I've ever seen.

Not saying there should be no time limit. It should at least get 2 weekends though.

There's The Lone Blade where you control a blade and move yourself around that way (sticking yourself into cliffwalls to climb and the like.) I thought the concept was a neat idea.
