It never did, you're just being pessimistic.

2001

2014, you can't prove me wrong

We have established the narrative as 2007 using a widely-posted image. We will not let any Reddit hivemind try to change our individual thought that we enforce.

the decline went full speed after skyrim, it paved the way to many corporate greedy systems that are the norm today

every time

2 years from now.

2006 was the beginning of the end. Prove me wrong
Oblivion was shit
Horse Armor DLC told the industry people will buy anything

2008

horse armor.

I don't know about everyone else, but for me gaming started going downhill with the tag-team of Mass Effect 3 and Dead Space 3.

2006 was a shitshow of a year. Not even Okami or Bully could've saved a year with garbage release after garbage release like Persona 3, Oblivion, Final Fantasy XII, Sonic 06, and tons of other borderline shovelware. There have been good releases since 2006, but seldom has there been a good year for games since 2005 or 04, 2017 and 2021 aside.

Bioshock/Fallout 3 was the beginning
Wouldn't disagree with oblivion either, but it's slightly better than fallout 3

He's american tho

It's gotta be somewhere in the 2007 - 2012 range. You could make a convincing case for any date in that range. Some good games still came out, but I think the trends that showed the absolute decay of the industry were already set by the early '10s.

When halo ce released

Decline? It was never good to begin with.

Video games peaked in the 6th Gen and Early to Mid 7th gen.

The Xbox, PS2 and GC are all fantastic consoles.
The 360, PS3 and Wii is where the cracks began to show.
