Movies are shorter and get sold to a much higher audience.

>newly released movie is at most 3 hours of content, 12 if you rewatch it FOUR times

gee I wonder

They know retards will always buy games no matter what

>much higher audience

that's not true anymore

If you account for streaming services it probably still is.

I’ve yet to watch a 50 hour movie.

>movie
>2-3 hours at most
>game
>12-100s of hours of replayability
the real question is why are movies so fucking expensive.

>le its a movie not a videogame
get new material.

>le

go back

>reddit spacing
You first.

>2 hour experience vs 30+ hours

Yeah i wonder why

You mean markdown? Reddit didn't invent that. Just cause the first website on the internet you visited was reddit doesn't mean it invented everything, zoomer.

>movie schizo

To butcher you fucking paypigs as you deserve.

movies have a standardized format of around 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours which is not a major difference, similar to albums. on the other hand the average game is expected to put out at least 10 hours before people will realistically pay full price for it, which is closer in length to a season of a tv show. Even then, most people will be skeptical of a game being worth it at full price if it's under 30 or even 50 hours.

80% of the budgets are allocated to marketing and hiring hollywood actors/writers to do shit literal nobody-coders could do a hundred times better

invalid argument
that would mean sandbox games like minecraft should cost an unlimited amount of money

Cause gay actors ask for gayass sallaries

If movie studios thought they could get away with selling movies for $70 they would.
