What went so fucking right?

What went so fucking right?

It wasn't rushed out in a year like Vice City, could've been a bit smaller and more focused though

Soul.

It was the first and last good GTA

a lot of things.

>90s were still on people's minds
>bigger world, despite being kinda empty in some aspects
>hot coffee - bad publicity is good publicity for GTA
>improved engine, none of this can't swim nonsense and other gta 3 engine weirdness
>next major release was a huge departure from the normal gta vibe, so a lot of people hold SA in a higher regard than it actually is

Black people

>>next major release was a huge departure from the normal gta vibe, so a lot of people hold SA in a higher regard than it actually is
That’s how you split the SAbabies from the ones who started with 3.

It came at the right time, before everything turned into shit
San Andreas and Bully were Rockstar at their absolute peak

unironically, niggers

The technological leap from 1998-2004 was insane, HD graphics wasn't as impressive like the jump from 2D to 3D.

i both love and hate how realistic sweet was
niggas cant stop being niggas even when the opportunity shows up to leave it all behind

Nah, GTA 4-RDR 1 was.

>Best cast of characters in the series
>Introduces way more mobility options such as climbing and swimming
>Retains the snappy and arcadey movement/gameplay instead of the unresponsive realistic style from the later games
>CJ is a likeable dude
>Vast and varied map that feels huge and offers many different enviroments
>You can actually feel lost and isolated in the forest and desert
>Fucktons of customization unmatched to this day
>Amazing radio stations
>Lots of side content

I used to think it was overrated, but after playing it again recently I took the SA pill.

> What went so fucking right?
- Drive for improvement and excellence
- Technical expertise, pushing software and hardware to absolute limits
- Past game experience, lessons learned, gameplay and mechanics polished up
- Emphasis on immersion, depth and fun. Player was put over everything.
- Biting satire, aimed where it belonged, and not giving a fuck about who got pissed off
- More content than God: Asset and integration pipeline firing on all cylinders.

It doesn't come together like this very often.
Appreciate that it did; hope that it still can.

It was fun

Low IQ white kids with ps2, who liked gangster culture.

This.

Fuck off to reddit

>nobody has posted it yet

desu

It was rushed actually, the final mission were supposed to be actual missions not gang war filler.

You know it’s fucking true. My little brother would about how everything back in ELEMENTARY school was getting hyped for SA.

Nigger worshipping americans worshipping niggers, a tale as old as time itself.
SA is ok but it's garbage when compared to VC and IV

You were 12 years old when you played it an as an American you worship black people and loved this game for portraying blacks and black culture postive.
