I love Majora's Mask. I can't quite choose between it and OOT, they're both so good. Still mad they scrapped the idea of a proper sequel in favor of TP and again in favor of Crossbow Training.
While I hate how overstated the creepiness factor of the game is given how it has a good amount of comedy and silliness, the Flatwoods Monster aliens are fuckin terrifying especially given they're the only time a Zelda game even introduces aliens if I recall correctly.
On a similar note, I'm surprised Majora made zero use of Dead Hand.

I really like both too, though I think I edge closer to OoT for the more grand feeling and the villain being more clearly evil as opposed to misunderstood/controlled. MM does have more emotional moments though.

The villain of MM isn't Skull Kid, it's the mask, which is also pure evil, especially because it took over some poor kid who just wanted friends. And yeah MM is really good at the emotional subplots. The sheer amount of fucking detail where almost everywhere with a human NPC you can go will have a unique interaction towards the end of the world is great.

Yeah I realized that the mask was the real evil and so I added the "controlled" thing, it's weird that despite the mask being clearly evil and doing some pretty fucked up shit as opposed to "just" a conqueror like Ganondorf I still consider him more of a villain. Maybe it's the nature of the mask, spooky spirit shit, and then there's the manga that had that hairy dragon thing as the origins of the mask. Was that thing Majora? It just seemed so disconnected I suppose, like a story that the old woman would tell. I fucking loved seeing the interactions, even the odd stuff like the random dude you can see from the telescope, I think he ends up being the Skulltula house buyer? And even then he has extra stuff for the last hours, the attention they put into a random fucking npc like that is super soulful. I just wish some of the other spots would do the same like the Gerudo, and I think the music house didn't do much else?

Am I the only one who doesn't think the 3DS version isn't bad? I get the Zora swimming thing is retarded but literally all you have to do to avert this is buy Chateau Romani (which costs 200 rupees but all you need to do for that is to kill the shopkeeper's bird by Romani Ranch) before doing anything Zora related, yes it's an extra step but I did always feel like chateau romani was useless other than for FD sword beams in the original so I kinda get they felt like it needed more use? Gimping Zora for it is a retarded tradeoff, but it's not THAT bad. The lighting is a bit too bright and the observatory isn't as kino, but I think people exaggerate the shite factor of the 3DS version, I loved it when it came out and I still like it. It also makes saving less dumb. I kinda just feel like people bandwagoned against it because funny clickbait jedi rocks guy said to hate thing.

The best thing about the 3ds version of MM was the fact it inspired absolute chads to make all of the fanmade updates and the HD texture pack.
You can like or dislike the 3ds version all you want but it basically had the same exact consequences as silent Hill HD. I mean for fucks sake a guy has made a 6-step easy guide to play the version that's better than the 3ds version, the same thing happened with SH.
